Hi everyone! Yayyyy so happy to share my Round Top vlog with you today. We found the most AMAZING pieces for the house. Not gonna lie it was a bit overwhelming and I didn't vlog as much as I thought I would BUT I hope you enjoy the video. Round top! One of my favorite places I’ve been going to for years! So inspirational! Round Top has definitely changed over the years, becoming a bit commercial unfortunately, but if you know where to look, the deal is still out there. Totally non related to shopping…Hopefully you’ve gotten to eat at Royers, If you haven’t…it’s a must!

I had a great time in RT too!! Funny how some items were just way overpriced and others a steal. I wasn't looking for furniture as much as some decor. I've already said my fair share on boucle/sherpa/shearling etc. so I'll keep that to myself. The legs and shape of the coffee table you got are a lot more unique than the puddle table, its a little more linear too. That settee is nice and might help bridge the gap between your very American MCM home and all of these soft mid century European pieces. Those dining chairs are my favorite though. Simple construction with just enough interest, linear but still with the roundness that you like, would really shine next to a more understated dining room table. Pass on the console though, awkward amount of negative space underneath, and proportions of top to leg thickness. Honestly, if you have the time, you'd enjoy scouring auction sites, less curation but save yourself some money from these resellers. Anyway, that's the end of my own nobody asked.

@@ArvinOlano They are beautiful, even my shearling hating ass can appreciate the design. They're so much more substantial than the clam chairs which in my mind makes them more sophisticated, especially how the exposed wood arm acts as an accent rather then the arm itself, nice detail. I would die to see them in a moody mohair, or even just lit dramatically like obsoleteinc. And lol thank you, I try not to be a jerk even if I don't love. I don't speak to my friends that way about their choices and literally no one benefits from nasty comments, waste of everyone's emotional energy.

Hi, thank you for taking us along to Round Top. I've always wanted to go. I have a correction on your French table. It is a trestle table - shaped like a train trestle. Know your furniture to know what you are buying. You will use it as a console table which will eventually drive you crazy because your glass house NEEDS closed storage to avoid visual clutter. 😭

True. Years ago, I first saw a couple of these homes and they were not styled like we style today. They were open, free of pattern and visual clutter allowing the house to be the star. For example, one home had an Olympic sized pool. We were there for a Christmas wedding rehearsal dinner. Both sides of the pool were lined with a single row of gigantic brass planters containing poinsettias. Simple, with a single color note. ❤️ And safe.

That type of wood table can be cut around the edge with a jigsaw, and sanded smooth very easily. I’m with everyone else; you should,have snapped it up!
