Hi Becky …I loved going shopping with you today 😅. I really enjoyed seeing the scarecrow in the box, the way he was yanking on the ghost’s foot was precious. Girl, I wanted those green Whitehall glasses in the 2nd store. I have been on the hunt for vintage coloured water glasses for forever 🤪. And seeing that you picked up the marigold coloured ones! So jelly, as my grandkids would say, lol. I knew you would pick up the owl and that gorgeous platter. And, yes, they ARE treasures (at least, that is what I tell myself, too, when I might have spent more than I intended 😂) Have a great weekend, friend … stay happy ❤

I wish my mom had kept more from the 70's period. She used to make all of my sister's clothes and they were amazing, or at least the pictures were. They would be worth a fortune now in a vintage clothing shop.

I just love your haul! Such great stuff! And I KNEW you would get the owl, the platter, and of course, the dishes. That platter is absolutely gorgeous and the dishes are perfect for fall. I think the platter would look amazing on top of the hutch. That's where I am able to put my big platters that don't fit in my hutch, as well. That sounds perfect, I have not even begun to look for dresses. I honestly was hoping to get away with something out of my closet. I have a couple dresses from when Summer was married that I can make work. Lily only requests that it is a pastel color to match her colors other than that she doesn't really care what I pick. No one is going to be looking at me anyway lol.

Great things in those antique shops! I now collect stoneware plates and white hall glasses because of you! That booth had so many! I would have bought them all since I’m having trouble finding them in the thrift stores. I have that very Sanko platter and a couple matching pots. That color is fantastic! I’ll be anxious to see where you put it. Love your owl, too!

I don't ever find that many in one spot that's for sure and you are right, it's hard to find them in the thrift stores anymore too. I used to see them every single trip I took. Not so much anymore. Keep searching though. The fun is in the hunt.

I had one on my wrist, they were free so I picked out a beautiful yellow one. They were too small for David's arm or he would have gotten one too. I was inspired to get some myself and give them out to trick or treaters though.

That booth is fun to look through but they are usually a little on the high side (cost wise) It makes me sad because that is the only midcentury booth that they have so I usually don't get anything from that particular vendor.

I’m born and bred in Pittsburgh but I have a sister that lives in ShelbyNC and we always enjoy our short vacations together shopping in all the quaint shops in NC !❤ Sometimes you just have to treat yourself to what you love and an anniversary is the perfect excuse!😂 Happy anniversary by the way. You got some great finds. You’re going to be so jealous of me. Years ago- I lucked out at a Goodwill and bought the entire set of those gold goblets from small, medium to large. I absolutely love them and like you use them for every holiday meal and occasion.Believe it or not- for 50 cents a piece! Of course that was when Goodwills were actually thrifty. Everything old is new again. That’s the only perk to being old now is that some of my possessions have value!😊 Look forward to your videos. Your personality is the best!❤

I guessed the dishes and that platter , the large owl but I didn’t remember the single pretty Daisy plate but it’s very pretty also and I thought you might pass on the chipped bowl but it was ok on inside and one side . Do any of the venders ever Negotiate on a cheaper price for some things??

I have never really asked them to. I guess if I wanted something bad enough I would have them call but usually if it is marked that high I pass on the vendor. They aren’t all outrageously priced. Some are very fair. The girl who has the mid century booth has live sales occasionally and walks through her booth giving markdowns so I feel like she would negotiate if I asked her to.
