Amazing the painting expert doesn't' understand that the painting is a sailboat regatta. Never trust an expert without a second opinion.

I'm with the commentator: I buy old stuff even when it's damaged, because They have so much character and I love the feel of it. In the last couple of years I started to toss out my modern furniture and searched for badly damaged antique furniture andhave it brought back tolife by a specialized renovator.

Captain Cook charted he did not discover lands and islands as peoples already lived there, not to take away the importance of his travels.
@scottloar2 ай бұрын
Discovery is making some thing, a place, a people, known, which is exactly what Captain Cook's voyages did. Some few Norsemen had knowledge of some tiny part of the North American continent, and Portugese fishing off the Grand Banks knew from the waves and flotsam and bird life that a large land mass lay near, but these were not discoveries.

I have to ask.... Do the 'experts' check up on information for the items?? They seem to know so much about each one - just off the tops of their heads ???
@kristinebailey65542 жыл бұрын
They definitely research it ahead. Now we have the episodes from the USA Roadshow program with updated prices and so many were incorrect. They had overvalued them and claim on everyone that the "market has slipped." It didn't slip on 90% of those items appraised. Ridiculous.
