Antiques Shopping in Asheville, NC + Haul: Let’s Go Antiquing!

Hi friends! Last week I stopped in Asheville, North Carolina to go shopping for antiques. Antiquing is one of my favorite pastimes and this shop did not disappoint! So come antique shopping with me and see what I bought in this antiques haul!

3RD watch through. Going out this weekend Thrifting. Work full time so weekends are time my friends and I head out for 4 hrs of antiques, vintage, and unique finds! I've found loads of items since moving here. Some are for my new house, some not. Unique , quirky house. So trying to find the vibe for this house. Flower frogs are on my hunt list. Vintage loons, wolves, bear and elk figurines on list too. Homer Loughlin!! love those platters. I like that lamp shade.

I love some of items in Sweeten Creek Antique Store, love the delft blue, as my ex husband was Dutch and we had a lot of it in our home. I love the white platters…. so pretty with the scalloped edges ( what a deal!!). Have a great day❤

Sweeten Creek was a favorite spot of mine when we lived hear Asheville. I have a friend who has a booth there “Lady Beatrice”. Love that lampshade.

You are my favorite thrifter. We live in Harrodsburg so you need to come. We have 3 places...Rags to Riches, Jerrys Antiques, Charmed, and another which I don't know the name but super great deals. We're only about 20 minutes from Lexington.😊

What a great store, I would love to browse around it. I have about 15 glass flower frogs, various colors and 3 metal(harder to find here) and I have only ever had to pay $1 or $2 for them, the metal ones I paid $3 each and use them to display my old 1900's postcards. I heard that area had great antique stores..i went to one there when my daughter was young, long time ago😄 I want one of everything you picked up and showed us.. and that quilt, ohhh my! I'm finally leaving for Florida tongue!!😊 Going to the strawberry festival in Plant City Saturday. Girl I know what you mean,I always cry half way home, I never want to leave them😪 I've Been looking for A metal one too. Oh wow I love that shade! I need to find one of those, i have lots of oil lamps, its so cute. That color or print would look good on my green oil lamp! I'd love to see the one you mentioned! Love your finds!😊 (we understand)

You might would like a little town close to me if you come through NC again. Cameron NC. They usually have an antique fair the first week in May with 250 vendors. Cameron Spring Antiques Fair. It is a street full of different buildings full of treasures. This year it is May 3rd & 4th. It’s voted as the best antiquing area. Don’t miss eating at Dewberry Deli 485 Carthage street, Cameron, NC. If you happen to visit. New subscriber 👋

I’ll be doing a styling video soon! Hopefully in the next week or so. Yes flowers frogs are really neat! You can also use the larger ones for paper weights. Definitely should visit Asheville. It’s a beautiful little city! So much to do. Oh and the farmers market!! I love it. Where abouts in NC are you? Any good antique shops near where you live?

@@Melissa.Ringstaff not really but there are some about 12 miles away so I go quite often. There are antique stores in about 3 different directions from where I live so it’s a pretty good area for antiquing.

I love Homer Laughlin. I have a set of Homer Laughlins Blue Willow dishes that belonged to my great aunt. Loved that shop. Great haul.

I loved the first set of flowered plates you looked at…don’t need anymore plates. I love thrifting with you. Our daffodils are up in our part of WV. My dad always said everything will be good in the Spring. One of our favorite estate sale guys is having an estate sale.. we go in Saturdays and can not wait to go. If you are a regular customer they do better than fifty percent off on the last day. Melissa , I don’t need anything, but think I will thrift as long as I can. I realize this is a resale curated vendors place but honestly some of the prices are not competitive. Must be locale related. Loved the little blue swan but 18 dollars wow.

Asheville is definitely on the pricier side I’ve noticed over the years - but you can still find good deals. Just have to really look! That blue swan was so pretty - but yeah I wouldn’t pay $18 for it!!

The store looked amazing..I have a Homer Laughlin smaller platter. It's white w/blue trim and a blue sailboat on top. I got for $1.49 at Goodwill.take care.
