Antiques Talk/Valuation & Tea Party! With David Harper & David Elstob

To celebrate the upcoming Queens Jubilee, David Elstob and I (David Harper) put on a bit of a tea party and antiques talk at Elstob & Elstob Auctioneers in Ripon, North Yorkshire
We had no idea what antiques we were going to see, it was all filmed as live! You’ll see the objects at the same time we do…No researching, no preparation, just off the cuff talk and valuations…plus tea and cake!
All just a bit of fun and an excuse to celebrate the jubilee, drink tea and talk antiques!

Camra stand needs a handler. Nice college student studying film production, leaves David and David free to do what they do best. Would love to watch you go through a fair or action preview and just talk about interesting items. This was such a good idea.

BTW - electroplate goes back to at least the Romans. It wasn't in use on a commercial scale in the UK until circa 1840 if I remember properly. I don't remember seeing an American bit of it (I'm in the USA) made before 1870 give or take a bit. We were a bit behind, thanks to a Civil War among other things.
