The invariance of the local vacuum speed of light is perfectly well-understood and it makes sense. What doesn't make sense is why the students have to wait until an advanced course to have it explained to them.

I made a video about "Twin Paradox with Rectangular Route", instead of linear one in the original version. If the symmetry breaking is not caused by acceleration, then it must be caused by a preferred frame of reference.
