Phenomenal presentation. Truly. One of the best posted here to date. Kate does a tremendous job of leaving the audience with a wealth of insight to meditate on. I have to say though, having now watched the full video once and replayed many parts (I no doubt will be watching the whole thing over and over just to fully take in everything being outlined here)- I still don’t really quite understand what antiscia/counter-antiscia are supposed to do beyond showing a very loose affinity of some sort when conjunct in close degree, nor do I fully understand how important any of it is and how much I should concern myself with applying this to my delineations. I understand that these are questions that are largely left up to the listener to decide for themselves, but I can’t help but feel as though the presentation falls short as far as “spelling it out” re: antiscia goes. Shadows, “conjunctions/harmonizing”(?) (vs the third harmonic conjunction being just an indifferent territorial alignment(?)), witnessing despite aversion? Some of these contentions seem pretty game-changing if true, and yet I still get the overall sense (from this presentation as well as commentary I’ve seen floated in a number of other places) that antiscia/contra-antiscia is -despite its paradigm shifting importance- more or less a total sideshow that can, at best, serve to somewhat assist the astrologer in tying up loose ends when looking to validate something *that isn’t otherwise immediately apparent* in the standard chart. Sorry if my comment is a bit disjointed. I’ve had a very frustrating time trying to dissect this subject, and have yet to run into what I would consider to be a coherent outlining despite consulting many different resources. I think I am just particularly disappointed here because of how superb I believe the overall lecture to be.

Kate, I enjoyed your presentation on antiscia for Kepler yesterday. You had asked about the sidereal zodiac and the reflection around 15 degrees cardinals. I had looked into this some time ago and came up with a date of approximately 800 BCE (depending on the ayanamsa you work with). For example, look at a chart for Alexandria Egypt for 29 March 800 BCE at about 4:39 AM LMT in both the tropical and Lahiri zodiacs. There is a difference of 15 degrees between them. It may be that the original author of the commanding/obeying text had this sky map in mind and was unaware of precession, or at least did not take precession into account.

Crazy Feb 24 I will have one in my 2nd house Saturn 29 transiting Pluto in my 11th at 1degree . At the same time transiting Pluto with trine my natal Pluto trine May natal sun and my natal moon. I am only half way through year one of Hellenistic astrology studies but this seems like a huge event in my life .I just noticed at the same time transiting mars in my 11the house will also make a counter antisha. To transiting Uranus in my second house of Taurus 😮

I have a quick question please? Would you believe that there is significance if your anticia sun and moon are conjunct someone you are datings natal sun and moon and obviously vice versa? Also throw in there having the same life path and soul urge numbers as one another?

@Kate thats interesting & i agree i think a person would feel/be more aware of transits through their angular houses and more obviously with exact or within 6-3degree orb aspects to any of their natal points/planets . i will look into the article , thank you !
