Yeah, and no recognition of what Israel is doing that is actually making people upset with them. Not only that he probably doesn't know that the cows were created in a lab, they are not naturally red heifers. God didn't loke Cain cheating either, but that never stops Israel. And then there's the Talmud and what it says about Jesus and his followers. Also the Jewish writings from the 1930s on how they wanted to genocide the germans..

Jimmy is a dispensationalist. They err in believing that the old covenant is still valid and that God still has promises to keep to Israel on its basis. The only covenant that remains is the covenant God made with Abraham which the Jews will receive if they accept Christ.

I have come to the same conclusion, Lindsay. After years of assuming that premillennialism was the default view of the church and the explicit teaching of Scripture, I came to the conclusion that this was not the case and that we really can't pull for a specific system or another. Over the last decade or so, I've become more and more convinced that amillennialism makes the best case of the Biblical data. I have a hard time seeing the Olivet Discourse and Revelation 20 from the vantage point of premillenial dispensationalist anymore, but I try to humbly approach the subject.

@@JamesWilliams-he4lb I’m right there with you. I was taught pre-trib dispensationalism and it never made any sense to me. I left a hyper-charismatic church for reformed Baptist and learned the amillennial view years ago. It was simple and for the first time the end times made sense from scripture. I think I’ve listened to Voddie Baucham’s revelation teaching 3 or 4 times. I left the reformed Baptist world and ended up in an AG church. lol It’s a long story. Anyway, I try to steer clear about my end time beliefs. I also like Joel Richardson’s view on historic pre-mill, but imo the amillennial view is etched in my brain and it’s where I lean. I can’t fathom going into a millennial reign where we go back to animal sacrifices. It seems like a slap in the face to Jesus and the system he died to get us out of. Eschatology isn’t a primary doctrine so definitely not something I argue about. I tend to let everyone believe in their pre-trib rapture Left Behind series beliefs. lol

I have been thinking about this video a lot. I commented before but I wanted to add another comment. I think one of the dangers of being overly invested in one's eschatology/ interpretation of biblical scripture pointing towards the end times is that people involved in your interpretation cease to be individuals but rather a means to an end to what God is doing. People living in Israel/Gaza/Middle East, are individuals with their own agencies, hopes, fears, desires and not just mere chess board pieces that are being moved to a specific end. As christians we should yearn for peace, value human life, regardless of which political society they belong to. Jimmy seems like a right standing man, but to me it seems as if his eschatological interpretation rest way above the sensitivity towards the individuals currently stuck in a cycle of war and violonce. That is what has been on my heart.

Remember when the Jews thought they had the coming of the Messiah figured out according to prophesy? LOL I'm not a charismatic, but I really like and respect Jimmy Evans. He keeps popping up and I keep listening to him. I think he's the real deal, that he doesn't claim to be something he's not, that he truly let's scripture interpret scripture, and that he genuinely and deeply loves the Lord. I'm still not convinced of the rapture one way or the other. When you read the opposing arguments and line up the verses differently, you get something different. But we need to keep the oil in our lamps, the lamps need to be burning, and we need to be ready to go.

I read The Late Great Planet Earth when I was, I think 16, so… in 1977. It was full of proof and “look at all these impossible to explain away facts that mean, Jesus is coming any minute”. And, the generation that started in 1948 was to be 40 years. So, by 1988 we’re outta here. This caused my 16 yr old brain to reason “why am I busting my butt at school if it’s all gonna burn, and soon?” Granted, some Pastoral guidance would have been helpful, but I think most Pastors enjoyed that this was scaring kids into the Kingdom. 1988 can and went. Here’s an another fella, albeit genuine and well read, but is telling the same story. Josh’s question was the same one I came to in 1980 while in my first year at CFNI, “What then do we do?” I determined I have to live the same no matter what the theology or maybe better said, the speculation, is. I have to get up every day and live an honorable life, serving God and serving people. Be prepared for His return at any minute, but don’t fail to prepare for many more years on this Earth. To his credit Jimmy did say that too.

When Israel rebuilds The temple in starts doing sacrifices again it will be an abomination unto God. It's so bizarre that the dispensationalists and messianics are starting to act like this is a good thing. The Old covenant was abolished at the death of Christ, and the destruction of the temple was an act of God to take away their ability to sacrifice. That's the whole point of the book of Hebrews.
@ericedwards5034
@ericedwards5034 Ай бұрын
I don't think dispensationalists (full disclosure, I hold to dispensationalists positions) believe that it's a good thing that the sacrifices restart in a rebuilt temple. The rebuilding of the temple and the restart of the sacrificial system would herald that the return of Christ is historically immanent. That is what would make it an exciting time in history because it is believed to be a fulfillment of end-times prophecy pointing to the return of Christ and the beginning of the millenial kingdom.

@ericedwards5034 I heard John MacArthur say it would be okay in a q&a that was done recently. @ericedwards5034
@ericedwards5034 Ай бұрын
@@undergroundpublishing I really don't know who Joel Richardson is, so I'll have to look into him to see what he believes on this and other issues. I'll take you at your word but I want to do my own due diligence before speaking about him. As for John MacArthur, his "leaky dispensationalism" is a system of his own making. MacArthur has written that what we can call "classical" or "mainstream" dispensationalism are a "mongrel version" that needs to die, and that he will willingly join the funeral cortege. He rejects the dispensationalism put forth by Darby and Ryrie and has made up a version that suits his beliefs and that he can try to square with his Reformed (Calvinistic) theology. So it doesn't surprise me that he would hold to some things on this issue that most others holding to the position would reject, since he rejects much of what others hold to.

There is evidence that the Jewish land was planned to be recaptured by Rothchild and the Balfour Declaration. There is too much shadiness involving Israel and Zionism. Did you know that of the oppression they received from Russia in the late 1800s/early 1900s is because they had become Talmudic Jews? The Karaites who only believed in the Torah were exempt from Russia’s extra taxes, and other sanctions by the Russians. That was extremely provocative to contemplate. Not to mention, these Talmudic Jews had been kicked out of every sing country they were living in. Is it oppression if people come together, say they are Jews, but then practice Satanic and occult rituals like the Kabbalists? I’d really like you guys to do an expose on Kabbalah. Anyhow. The history of dispensationalism and Christian Zionism goes back to extremely corrupt roots. Look into the life of Schofield and how he became who he is. Who is Margaret McDonald? Isn’t that who Darby listened to regarding his journey forward? My understanding is that she was a psychic. I also find it very interesting that most dispensationalist teachers/preachers up until recently had to sign a sweated oath that they believed in Dispensational premillenialism before they got their degree! Look into that one! I really hope you guys will bring on someone like Steve Gregg or Chuck Missler. Steve Gregg used to be a dispensationalist. He has written a book showing ALL the different views. That is what you all should do. Make sure you bring him on, or at least one person from each perspective so your listeners realize how this is not so cut and dried.

“”The land shall not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine. For you are strangers and sojourners with me.” ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭25‬:‭23‬ ‭ESV‬‬ God owns the land not Israel. Israel was tenant. The problem was not that they did not produce enough fruit. The problem is that they wanted to be the landowners and not God. They wanted to seize the land for themselves and not submit to the landlord. ““But when the tenants saw him, they talked the matter over. ‘This is the heir,’ they said. ‘Let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’ So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. “What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” When the people heard this, they said, “God forbid!”” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭20‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬ I have to choose a parable to write on this week from synoptic gospels and apply it to the audience of that time and also to modern times. Lots of OT verses about the vineyard, the vine dresser, the tenants, fruit. John 14&15 also are about Israel, as well as the fig tree. God was clear in the Bible that Israel cannot have the land as long as they are disobedient. Then their time ran out, the whole world now belongs to Gods Holy nation. NT says the new temple is the body of Jesus Christ. John 4 says the old temple is obsolete, not needed. Israel in rebellion to God wants to build a temple because they don’t believe in the blood of Jesus.

Unfortunately that's a wrong interpretation of this parable. The vineyard here is the people of Israel not the land. And the workers in the vineyard who kill the messengers and the son of the owner of the vineyard are the "chief priests and scribes" not the people of Israel in general. It's even mentioned in the text. Luke 20:19 KJV [19] And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.

Next we will see a seaosn of peace because Israel is described as a bunch of villages without walls when Gog of magog (a term always used to describe Israel enemy) attack with nations that surround Israel The roman empire has nothing to do with end time prophecy, Rome is not the 4th beast, it did not fulfill the actions of the 4th beast, it is well known in history that Rome allowed cultures and customs to continue practicing which is why it was so successful at maintaining its empire. The 4th beast is different it destroys everything that was there before.
