Been doing a lot of research on possibly getting into the ant miner and your videos are very direct and easy to understand. Thank you

Great video man, i was wondering if you would still consider getting an L3 today or maybe just wait for the newer system to come out? also have you tried any other mining programs or strictly use nicehash?
@drew72247 жыл бұрын
That is a really good question. If the L3+ Nicehash payouts continue to decline at the rate they are going you could expect about 10 weeks of profitability left. I do not think they'll lose profitability that fast but its all speculation and depends heavily on the latest batches of L3+'s being released. I personally would wait for a newer system or simply invest in a good crypto. The only way I would buy another L3+ right now is if I could get it today for $1500usd. I have used other programs but none have seemed to be as profitable for me. I'm no expert either and Nicehash is just so easy to use it really makes things convenient. My second favorite would be Prohashing.com but it does not seems quite as reliable. Especially since you can setup redundant Nicehash servers.

Thanks for getting back to me! ive only started mining about two months ago (kicking myself for getting in so late) but ive only used nicehash and i love how simple and easy it is to use but i have heard on other videos of people having success with other script programs but im not sure how to exactly set those up and what not thats why i asked...ill probably continue to just use that for now. I was weary at first to buy a bitmin machine but i have heard how quick the ROI can be on some of them but again recently i have seen like 200% mark-up in price on most of those machinces L3+ and s9 etc... if i could maybe find a decent used one on ebay for around that price like you said $1500 i might look at picking one up other than that ill probably wait or just buy some alt coin and hold. Look forward to more videos thanks again!

Yeah, I have heard the same. Or the common complaint of high fees with Nicehash. If I could get other pools to be more reliable I would consider moving over permanently. I am happy I have my machine and I will make my money back. In fact if you bought one today for $2500 you'd still most likely make your money back in time and with the rise in crypto value. I just think it may be slightly more lucrative to spend the money on cryptos until next generation machines come out. Things change daily though in the crypto world so who knows! Thanks for the support. Happy to help where I can.

I notice that your payouts are in BTC but how do you do that when L3+ mines LTC? Thanks.
@drew72247 жыл бұрын
Nicehash sells your hashing power to other users and pays you in BTC.

Can you mine for more than 1 type of crytocurrency at a time? I'm interested in mining for Dash and Litecoin. Any thoughts?
@drew72247 жыл бұрын
You would need a miner capable of mining each. If you are interested in Antminers you would use the Antminer L3+ for Litecoin and The Antminer D3 for Dash.

Whats your prediction for the difficulty to mine LTC over the next coming months ?
@drew72247 жыл бұрын
I'll be posting a video today with current payouts and what I predict the future trend will be. In short, I believe it will follow the same decline as shown in the graph in this video. We still are awaiting November and December batches of Antminer L3+ to be released plus Hyperbit is releasing several thousand L21 miners during the same time frame as well. All of those new machines will undoubtedly have an adverse effect on the Scrypt mining profitability.

Switching to any other pool is fairly simple. For Scrypt or X11 miners Prohashing is my pool of choice.

Nice video. You should overclock these units. I have been overclocking all my units for months at 550 MH/S. There is no danger of damage as long as the units remain cool. Just monitor the unit for the first few hours to make sure the none of the boards are overheating. You leave too much gain behind with the increasing complexity by not overclocking. Consider it your edge over most miners.
@drew72247 жыл бұрын
I agree. Overclocking is the way to go, however, it voids the warranty. Once the 180 day warranty period is up I'll overclock all my machines. I have played around with it but the purpose of these videos are to show baseline expectations with a stock machine. Not everyone is comfortable with overclocking. Thank for the input!

What is ur set up ?? standard is 384 so what u takeing it up to ?? Thx
@music2me237 жыл бұрын
Hubertcht, not all ASIC chips are the same quality. So some of my L3+ miners are set at higher frequency and some at lower, however, all are overclocked. The key factor is what can your system handle without overheating. To determine this optimal frequency you need to increase the frequency to something like 400MHZ and monitor the board temperature over a time period, like 30 minutes or more. Keep in mind that the fan speed will also need to be increased and set manually. I keep the fan speed at about 60-70% to begin with. Again all these values are relative to how the ASIC boards respond to the increased amp draws at higher frequency settings. I increase fan speed if the boards are not cool enough, usually if they exceed 55C. An example of one L3+ unit specs are frequency 425MHZ, fan speed 65%. Keep in mind that all the units I run are vented so the exhaust heat goes outside the room they are housed in. Let me know if you need more info. Good luck.

I did try 400 and temps are keept below 50C more like 47-48c. Machine running on 525 m/h. Should I try to put 425 ??
@music2me237 жыл бұрын
Yes, it sounds like your L3+ miner is running stable so try the higher 525MHZ frequency and monitor the temp settings to make sure the unit is not overheating.

I have the Bitmain Apw3++ with 18 6-pin connectors. Good for 2 Antminer L3+ machines on 220v. Although, one similar to this will also work: www.amazon.com/dp/B00EKJQM5E

+Hemanth Savarala I personally prefer Nicehash. I think Bitmain already has a monopoly on mining and they have already gotten enough of my money.

Hi, I want to start a mining rig with about 10 l3 antminers. But I see the difficulty is increasing fast. Is the dif increasing effect just as big on a large scale? And should I just wait for newer hardware to invest my 10k in, just to be sure I make more profit in the beginning? thx
@drew72247 жыл бұрын
If you can get 10 Antminer L3+ for $10k usd then you should definitely buy. You would probably make more from reselling though unless you plan on mining for 1 year plus. Check out the latest stats: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a56kcqGMaqmkeK8
@music2me237 жыл бұрын
What is the electricity cost where you plan to use these miners? Are you willing to overclock the units? Do you have a setup to keep the miners running cool for days and weeks? Can you check up on the units several times a day and make minor adjustments? Mining is not just plug in and go away. I would wait for the new hardware with higher specs to come out if you are new to the mining scene. The new units will give you more time to learn how to mine and make mistakes without losing alot of ROI on learning.

does this antminer L3 can mine btc?
@drew72245 жыл бұрын
If you use a service like Nicehash they trade you your ltc hashpower for btc.
