French alpine skiiers often have a knack of turning up their game at the Olympics. Killy in '68, Cretier in '98, Montillet & Vidal in 2002, and finally, Deneriaz in 2006. I remember this course being quite unusual because it was set up for gliders, so the big, muscular skiiers like Walchofer, Buchel, Maier and Deneriaz were very much in play here. Fantastic event.
