"Hiding Place for the Moon": definitely one of the best pieces played on acoustic guitars I've ever heard (in my ears). The melody lines above the chords are so tender and ethereal. Listening takes you away from the earth.

It's just amazing the pool of talent that grows every year with guitarists. Sure this type of music isn't popular to the club facebook masses and it's all EDM and hi hop but the standard of guitar keeps getting higher.

Love playing in drop tuning. What he did in the beginning is he lined all his notes up with one another. Like, sometimes I'll tune mine to; DADAAD ( I think ) and it sounds so nice when strummed with an open chord that you can start to get into a groove and mess around with various notes and it's just great! This guy rocks!

This is a style of guitar playing that i never got into. Mainly because I tried it and failed. Lol. But its so cool how they make these sounds come out of an acoustic. this was the first video this year that i could sit through more than 5 mins. incredible. watched the whole thing from start to finish. Antoine was incredible. I was amazed at the last song. Preston and Andy are so awesome. I wish to join the stage with them someday.

degaboss I like Antoine more personally but both are equally talented although would like Antoine to do more stuff like These Moments and A Hiding Place For The Moon, those both pieces destroy Drifting which Andy is famous for but like i said they both look like they have married there guitars which is the best choice cause there the only thing you can marry which make a noise you enjoy.

degaboss I think that it's all about opinion, every modern fingerstyle guitarist like Antoine, Andy,Jon Gomm got their own style, their own tunes and they respect each other.When you say a guy is better than another,then you should mean that i like his song more than the other's song. I really never compare one to another, I enjoy the masterpieces they made, each song is beautiful in it's way.

justun chan True. Normally it not noticeable unless you play plugged and with a mic, in which case you "might" notice it. Depends also heavily on the guitar if it has a very bright sound and good projection. Cheers!

Antoine, I met you in Virginia about a year and a half ago and you signed a tab of your song "Spiritual Groove" for me...I can't thank you enough for that. Normally I wouldn't say anything but after about 14 years of guitar playing your signature and acknowledgement made me branch out and try to learn a whole new style of music, and for that I'm eternally grateful.
