I remember discovering Antoine Dufour after having stumbled upon Andy Mckee's famous "drifting" video on the Candyrat Record channel when I was a teenager. Rediscovering Spiritual Groove with this version today is very good for me in this difficult period, with the added complications of life. Merci Mr Dufour, ça m'aide à garder la tête hors de l'eau.

This song, as well as your others from the early days, had a massive influence on my outlook on tapping. It helped me take it from a static 1 or 2 string thing to tapping chords with both hands. I don't have such a strong legato with my fretting hand (anymore, tendinitis be damned), as you though, so I'll hold chords and move them around, opening and closing the chord (muting/unmuting) and I'll tap chords and do runs, slides, tap harmonics etc. with my picking hand. I never sought out to copy, though, merely inspired to create my own and find my own approach based on how your compositions touch me, on an emotional level. As that has always been the purpose of my musical journey; to express, without words, complex emotions through pure musical creativity. Thanks for revisiting this one and you've got to have your #beastmode face on with the near constant legato throughout this classic.
