I've noticed this before, but it stands out really strong with this cover. When you play Don's tunes, you give off a different kind of swagger. You (maybe unintentionally) add a touch of funk to them.

Brilliant composition by Don Ross magnified by the Brilliance of your arrangement and performance. Antoine is amazing in how he is able to express his unique interpretation of Don's music.
