This is a song that struck me the first time I listened to Don's album: Passion Session
I always remembered how to play it roughly, but I was recently having fun and wanted to revisit it and record it. Here it is! Hope you like it!

I've noticed this before, but it stands out really strong with this cover. When you play Don's tunes, you give off a different kind of swagger. You (maybe unintentionally) add a touch of funk to them.

I love this. While this isn't one of Don's harder tunes, the exceptional clarity in both performance and the audio make this a joy. I'd take the savour of a slightly slowed down and fully mastered approach over an overly sped up and flourished cover any day, and nobody fully masters a song like Antoine. Brilliant composition by Don Ross magnified by the Brilliance of your arrangement and performance. Antoine is amazing in how he is able to express his unique interpretation of Don's music. You can really feel Don Ross and Antoine both in this piece. I already loved this song but now I hear other dimensions of it that I never realized existed before. Nicely done and thanks for sharing.

The sound engineering and recording techniques Antoine uses are just chef's kiss...best in Candyrat. I'm sad I barely have any knowledge on this stuff though. Is there a recommended course I can watch on KZbin on good recording tricks/habits?

I've also recently started to learn some things about home recording. Recommend you Joe Gilder's channel and there's an interesting video short series, I think from Neumann (mic manufacturer). Would like to know what mic/s has/have been used for this recording. Anybody know?

@@der_eckes Looks like we're averaging a response per year lol here's what he wrote in the description on his recent Reality upload: "I used 3 mics on this recording: Charter Oak M900T (around neck position) panned Right Charter Oak E700 (around lower bout) Panned Left Royer R-10 (around neck) Panned Center" Also, in his video "My Beauregard Guitar Family" where he plays Ashes in the Sea, he stitches a picture of his mic placement for that video at the very end, and states that he used 4 mics using a Ron Streicher placement technique (that is, a decca tree with mid/side in the center) and lists the mics.
