Its funny how the red romms theme is somewhat a Slowroast sewer theme remix, even though is one of the levels without a red room (aside Big bath, deviled gardens and hell manor)

Red Rooms are missing in half of all levels

No it's a reference to the virtual boy, The Virtual Boy was a 32-bit tabletop console released by Nintendo in 1995. It was marketed as the first console to display stereoscopic 3D graphics, using rapidly oscillating mirrors to create a parallax effect and the illusion of depth. The Virtual Boy had a red-and-black monochrome screen and was mounted on a tripod. It was released early to keep fans occupied while waiting for the Nintendo 64, and was discontinued in Japan in December 1995 and the US in August 1996.
