I'm from Philly, I live in Tampa. I visit Miami and Orlando on the regular. Being a Florida resident for over a decade, your correct about Tampa. We're right on the water, and the beach, beautiful weather year round. Never really been effected by hurricanes. The nightlife is CRAZY! Better strip clubs than Miami and Orlando. Mad celebrities live out here, if that means anything. The BUCS are Champs. And it still has a small city vibe in certain parts. Plenty of jobs and Living expenses are more affordable as well. We're tucked away. So yes Tampa over everything lol

Midwesterners like Tampa and Arizona. West Coast types end up in L.V, Atlanta & Texas. Miami usually attracts anyone WHO DOES NOT HAVE AMERICAN ROOTS because it doesn't feel like you're in America. Miami attracts rich and upper class immigrants. A lot of generational Americans won't feel comfortable in Miami because it's not a true American city. Miami is the Cuban 1st, Caribbean 2nd, International 3rd, and American 4th...THAT IS THE ORDER and it won't change.....so for example, me myself I'm Ghanaian and I feel 100% comfortable in Miami because I vibe more with the international immigrant vibe. If you don't like immigrants and you don't like ppl that speak multiple languages then I suggest you stay out of South Florida. I can't do Tampa and I can't do Orlando because it doesn't have that international immigrant vibe....so it depends on your vibe....If you align with an international vibe/demographic LIKE ME then it's Miami....If you prefer a more American midwestern vibe then it's Tampa. If you are Puerto Rican, then it's Orlando. I lived in Chicago for 13 years and I never felt at home in Chicago. I actually hated living in Chicago with a paasion. Miami is the closest feeling to Ghana I will ever find in America so I will never leave Miami. Never. I love that city. I will die for Miami...I've lived in Queens, Virginia, Texas, Seattle, Chicago and I have no desire to live anywhere else in America but MIAMI.....Miami is the only city in America my soul and spirits connects to....and I like the fact that it's next to the Caribbean so I can go on a quick vacation to the islands. Miami fits my personality and style. The only problem with Miami is the job market and if you manage to gather streams of income or work for yourself then you will be fine. I'm never leaving South Florida because I love my Pollo Tropical, my jerk fish, my Dominican and Haitian food...I like being around international and exotic people. I feel comfortable when I'm around diversity so I can't leave Miami. I'm going to find a Cuban spouse and have some Ghanaian-Cuban Children....finish.

I'll be doing business in both, but I'll be "setting up shop" and live in Miami & Fort Lauderdale. I'm from Jamaica, that's mostly where people where I am from are, so it's a market I can get to faster then expand across state then nationwide with the things I will be doing.

It looks similar to Miami as far as the palm trees and feel... there is a beach a few minutes away... plenty places to shop and things to do and even Bill Gates has invited in downtown building the water street project... you have a theme park and water park (Busch gardens) or you can go to the Hardrock casino plus they have some nice gentlemen clubs... you have some great colleges...they have a football, baseball, hockey team and a basketball, soccer team and hour away in Orlando... speaking of Orlando if you want to do a few more things for entertainment it's not far away! I have lived in Tampa over 7 years…. The vibe is super laid back unlike Miami which is a bit fast paced …. You can start a business here and truly have a beautiful destination spot for clients

What are your thoughts about the University neighborhood of Tampa? It's in Hillsborough County/Tampa. I know it's probably not the best location, but I found a pretty good deal over there.

Thank you for the video my man, I was hesitant on renting a place here in Irvine California that’s a little on the high side from what I was wanting to spend. Long story short I can afford it and because of your video I’m going for it, you’re right where your at is the most important. Thanks again for moving me today brother.

This video did not age well. Florida has become completely UNAFFORDABLE to live. Forget about buying a home. Forget about finding a job that keeps up with the extremely high cost of living.

I’m from Miami but I moved to Tampa. If you’re trying to relax, focus and grow Tampa is a good place. Plus the homes are cheaper than Miami....If your trying to party and find a getaway for the weekend Miami-Dade is the place to be.

What about diversity in Tampa? I’m from Miami originally born and raised. Moved to Charlotte, NC in 2016 and now looking to move back to Florida. I was looking at Tampa as an option if not I’ll move to Palm Beach. I miss the diversity and things to do in South Florida. How does Tampa hold up in the diversity area?
@dja3052 жыл бұрын
@@GabsTheFab actually I’ve lived in Tampa now for 5 years and Tampa is more diverse now than 5 years ago. It’s definitely more diverse than charlotte. Tampa also Is the second fastest growing city in the state of Florida. Miami right now is going through a big gentrification from Miami Gardens, liberty city, little Haiti etc… they’re changing all these areas and now it’s really expensive to stay in these areas. Miami right now is the most expensive rental market in the United States… hope this helps. I miss Charlotte, NC

@@dja305 Thank you! I’m definitely looking to relocate my boutique business there and also I’m hoping that they have a space for minorities/women in Tech careers in Tampa as well.

Thank you for this video. My favorite part was your conversation in the last part titled "People are my currency. I really like what you said about it being a shame that humans don't/can't live until 1000 years old...that by the time most people figure things out it's already over...it's already done. That's very profound and makes me want to look inwards and change the way I'm doing some things; and, conversely, not doing some things. I appreciate your videos and thank you for being so open.

Tampa is a lot better than Miami in living conditions. Tampa feels more like a Florida city while Miami has a cross breed vibe of Latin American mixed with Northern influences. The southern vibe in Miami is not like it used to be so that is why I think Tampa would be a better town for a first timer to Florida. If you are a first time Floridian, wise choice. Even if you are looking for a city vibe, Tampa has everything to offer (and more actually) that Miami does as it's the same size city. I would never move back to Miami even if my family is from there. That town is a disgrace now overrun by corruption, greed and racism.

Tampa is nice - but still small - cheaper housing since there is more room to built - but not much going on - can’t compare ! Miami Dade is happening !

Tampa is actually the same size as Miami is when speaking of city vs city. Metro Miami is a little bigger and just a *little* bigger than Metro Tampa is.
