I grew up in a house where my mom and dad were married. My father gave my mother 49 married years and 52 years total before she passed away several years ago. Over the course of my life my father reminded me many times to never be a step dad. My older siblings always treated me and my youngest sister different because we were not from mom's first marriage. My older siblings don't have anything to do with my father after mom died regardless of him buying her a couple of houses and keeping her in jewelry. He's broken and hurt that they don't ever come check on him. I saw all this and definitely said that will NEVER be me!!!

I couldn't do it because I couldn't get over leaving my wife and kids to take care of someone else's. Prenups 100% work IF they are done right. The problem is most of the time they aren't done right. I think Jeannie signed her prenup the day before the marriage. Jeezy not that smart. You should also have her sign it not just 6 months in advance, but before y'all send out wedding invitations, book the venue, caterer all that. Because once family / friends book plane flights, hotels, and all the money was spent on booking the venue and catering which was traditionally paid for by the bride's father, she can turn and use that as an excuse saying she felt financially obligated to to get married after all that money was spent possibly by her family.

Single moms are a horrible economic investment, especially with kids under 18. You don't even have to adopt them in some states. If there is no father on birth certificate and you have acted in a father's role, you are a legal guardian, and child support is in your future.

When women were dating men based on potential because she saw something great in him and felt that he just needed a understanding women who showed compassion, patience and not look at his money, men called women stupid when she ended up struggling because she knew he didnt have money from the jump yet still got with him. And the potential she saw in him was turned to her trying to change him to be what she wanted him to be. Men encouraged women to walk away from those relationships and find an established man. Women listened to man. They dont get with man untill they have reached full potential on their own, and they look at your money. Now man say look at potential not money. Yall men have to make up your minds because this is why women only want established men with 6 figures
