He's on a roll and we get to watch! Perhaps this is just me -- but listening to these new songs coming to life before my eyes is better than going to a concert. Maybe it's cause I'm a musician and crave process. But then again, making sure I"d never miss a BJM if I had the chance is important because it helps support the BJM eco-system...Now, I've just taken Anton's suggestion that I go to merchandise site and buy some stuff. Gladly.

I fell in love with this music when I was only a few months sober from a 16 year binge of everything you can image....BJM quickly became my "go to" for hope and salvation. It's never failed me. Never thought I could be this moved by music without a single drug. In the late 90s, someone tried hard to turn me onto BJM, and I was so loaded and MIA that I didn't get it. That's my loss..... It took another 18 more years....but it was worth the wait.

I hear a new maturity and sophistication to his lyrics- which I’ve mostly always loved but he has broken through to a new level. It’s just obvious- there’s too much evidence to deny. Though he’s by far my favorite musician both because of the music and the way he protects it- from being sold out or exploitive - it’s a no brainer for me too- but I would have done exactly the same thing. My songs are not for sale - “IM GIVING THEM TO YOU ABSOLUTELY FREE- HA HA HA HA!!!”

Anton Newcombe is right up there with John Lennon and Paul McCartney with regards to great songwriting. But if I say Anton Newcombe to anyone they say “Who???” Good, keep it that way; he’s our treasure!
@jgwire4 жыл бұрын
@@sloth61 the exact same thing happens to me, then they recoil at the name and become contemptible - and that’s that. Then they’ve got cotton in their ears during the music So I’ve started just saying Anton Newcombe to leery new comers, just to trick them in. Frankly- about 1 in 20 People I turned onto BJM truly get it and race for the rabbit hole- and that’s just fine. I LOVE turning folks onto it. But it’s a gift that’s returnable- or throw it away Beside I’m not sure I want them pissing in my Spiritual Well. 10 years plus, which is not much to many fans, but the Well Is always brimming whenever I need it- some connection or meditation
