What hood did you see it in? I would presume somewhere in the Haight, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t either. Last time I was in the City myself, I had a playlist of BJM playing while throwing a round of disc golf in Golden Gate Park. It was right around when I first heard of them as well, so that made it quite new, groovy and magical. Every single person who caught up with me asked who it was, and I even got a compliment for having good taste. It was a wonderful day, and I cherish those.

I saw them in Ravenna last year in italy and it was amazing. They deserved a better place to play but it was still cool. In this little bar with a stage and everything. I mean is still a good place for a concert. I will always remember it, my grandpa died that night and i had the call from my mom while i was at the concert... i felt this concert into my bones and bjm always have a spot in my heart.

that's probably the organ; hammond really saved a lot of keyboardists. I think Steve Winwood basically becomes famous at 14 because of Hammond's electric organ.
