What a wonderful video. Many thanks. Egorov was one of my all-time favorite pianists from the first time I heard him more than 40 years ago, and I got every recording I could get my hands on. It is exactly right, in my opinion, for Flipse to emphasize the poetry and deep feeling in his playing. I too always found that quality captivating. I thought his Schumann and Debussy unequaled.

I still remember the impact his first Schumann recordings had on me nearly 50 years ago. Pure poetry. I was rapt. Even now, few other artists are able to convey such wonder and yearning, magic and mischief. Certain moments in Kreisleriana still take my breath away. There's an other worldly quality to it all Visionary, really. It's profoundly moving what he does. And this documentary only affirms his unique sensibility and irreplaceable musical personality. Thank you for posting.

the poetic beauty in Egorov's persona and musical oeuvre as a concert pianist is mirrored in this well-crafted and kind-loving cinematographic portrait, chapeau, it sparked a poem in me which I'd like to share. homage to Youri seeking security, the mediocre deploys calculus Egorov, the Russian genius simply gives it his all not like other musicians attention seekers or Romantic prostitutes Youri burned the candle at both ends burnt himself down unto sanctified profanity where there's uncompromising poetic beauty beyond truth and justice - beyond the grande piano there's undiluted overwhelming anguish sudden panic attacks and overriding existential risk but it can't be helped, life on the world stage podium unequivocally, patchwork of wildly contradictory healing emotions
