Imagine how much the crime in this country would go down if the d penalty came back. My only deduction is that someone does not want the crime rate to go down. Lots of companies would go out of business.

You need to check your wordings. House robbery and house breakin are two different descriptions. Robbery implies it was taken by force e.g a weapon was used to threaten the victims into submission inorder to take their belongings. House breakin is simply described as theft. A crime of opportunity when the owner was not aware there's something of theirs that is being taken without their knowledge.
