That 19L landing view in the front of the video is the money shot!!! And that Antonov iced the cake!

I've seen the Antonov 2 times, February 2008 - at Bangor Maine. We were diverted from EWR to Bangor due to weather. The 2nd time was in HNL in March 2017. Very special!

Like your videos at Tampa.. FYI the "new paint job" you saw on the United 737 is Only on the MAX series 737s. It has that wave center stripe or swoop that we called it. Makes it easy to I.D. the MAX in United service. United put that wave/swoop line on its 787s also. I retired last year from United at LAX so fun to see planes flying from big airports. Thanks for sharing. 👍

Just subscribed because I love the way you talk when you describe planes taking off and landing. Now, a question for you if you could answer. About 2 years ago, Jet Blue really started adding to their livery on the tail, but then, they came out with one which was called the Jet Blue Blueprint covering the whole plane. Used to see it every so often at Syracuse site, but haven't seen it anywhere since then. Do you know what happened to it, maybe it was sent to another area...? It was the coolest looking plane I've ever seen and probably took forever to paint it.
@CaptainStevenMarkovich3 жыл бұрын
That’s a great livery I see it every month or two. Saw it in Boston last month. Thanks for watching great questions

@@CaptainStevenMarkovich Thank you for answering :) I don't live in Syr anymore but just have to watch at the airport, especially during the winter months, and that's where I became interested in the Jet Blue liveries. Blueprint was the greatest to watch and I do miss seeing it. Wonder if there is a site for Logan to planewatch...!

I absolutely hate flying in there, especially in the winter. Ice/snow + short runways = scary combo. Cross my fingers every time - “Are we going to be able to stop, or are we gonna go skidding thru the fence?” 😱

Hey Captain Steve what is the structure next to the United Maintenance Building the thing with the 2 gray tall walls?
@CaptainStevenMarkovich2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim. Very observant and a good question. It’s the Hush House. It’s where aircraft are taken when testing engines. The walls help absorb the sound.

How did you get so up close to the An-124? Did you have to get some sort of security clearance to be there? Where else are some good spots for spotting? Also, I actually went to Tampa yesterday and got a bunch of photos (even of the United 757 taking off).

@ 13:04 it was US Airways that In January 2012, US Airways Group, the parent company of US Airways, expressed interest in taking over AMR Corporation, the parent company of American Airlines. In March, AMR's CEO Tom Horton said that the company was open to a merger. US Airways told some American Airlines creditors that merging the two carriers could yield more than $1.5 billion a year in added revenue and cost savings. On April 20, American Airlines' three unions said they supported a proposed merger between the two airlines. With AMR under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, American Airlines had been looking to merge with another airline. Earlier in July, a bankruptcy court filing stated that US Airways was an American Airlines creditor and "prospective merger partner"; on August 31, US Airways CEO Doug Parker announced that American Airlines and US Airways had signed a nondisclosure agreement, in which they would discuss the possibility of a merger
