Antony's transcendant vibrato interpretation is so full of emotion that you can feel the hopeful prayer for grace that Cohen surely intended when he wrote this modern-day Psalm. Cohen as a Psalmist and Antony as a performer is a killer duo. Kudos.

There are few times when an artist does it better than the original…This is one of those instances! Fantastic! Beautiful!

Never heard this version before. Maybe it's just the 2020 talking, but this just... popped a bubble I didn't know was welling up inside. I've just listened four times in a row. Can't stop crying and its beautiful.

Looks like a shy guy who just can't stop the music flowing through his entire self. I love Leonard's music, but here I can see it.

Came here because I've been an obsessive Leonard Cohen fan for years. Now I'm an Antony fan. Emotionally pitch perfect cover.

Leonard said, "there's a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in..." Antony is a very broken vessel and it is through those cracks we see his light. I can't imagine how much pain you have to have had to have written this song and then to have so completely understood it to perfectly sing it. If this is the passion God inspires through suffering, it is indeed necessary for the human condition to suffer for such beauty. Rest in God Leonard and God Bless Antony in all his little pieces.

this never fails to touch me no matter how often I watch it. It is the nearest I have come to being in touch with the divine.

So...I guess I saw this ten years ago, when I watched the doc, as I've been a fan of Cohen's since forever. I must admit: as soon as I saw him walk out on stage, I judged this man: how he was dressed, his dyed hair, the fact that he was chubby; I thought they must have pulled this guy out of a subway station or something, and that this was all going to go horribly awry; that someone had made a mistake.

This is one of my favorite Leonard Cohen songs and Anohni did it justice with her soulful performance. Not only is her voice tremendous but there's so much passion and vulnerability in how she uses it that makes me listen in awe.
