I think a smooth green snake would look absolutely amazing in here! They are relatively small, just over a foot long. They love wetlands and plants. They mainly eat crickets and other insects. Smooth green snakes are also generally very friendly and are often visible, not hidden away. The new vivarium looks like a paradise enclosure for it!

Hello, AC! So, now that the plants of the wetlands are here (and it looks stunning!) I guess the most fun part is coming - introducing the animals! I thought I'll leave some suggestions here. Not all of them are mine, some people shared under community posts, I really liked them and decided to pick up the baton of further sharing them)) So, here we go: 1) Mudskippers - probably my favourite of them all, I just really like these half-fish half-frog looking oddballs and I think they'd be an excellent addition! Also, I might be mistaken, but I think a species of them can be found where you live. Please consider them!; 2) Kribensis - a friend of mine, who's an aquarium hobbyist, said these cichlid fish are one of the easiest to breed among egglaying fish. They don't require any special conditions, just a little nook to lay their eggs in and hide from other fish. The most exciting part is that the parents do not abandon their eggs, they take turns standing guard over them and the mother might even move them in her mouth to a safer place if she feels the need. When the younglings hatch, the parents feed them and take them for "walks" around the tank while keeping a close eye on them. I think watching kribensis raise their brood would be just so much fun! Please consider getting them, AC!; 3) Amphibians - I love them, and this new vivarium gives so many possibilities for getting different species of them! Pacman frogs, pool frogs, painted toads (that once lived in Mikey's shower XD), African dwarf frogs, maybe even Surinam toads and so much more! However, considering the land part of the vivarium is quite sparse and the water's very deep, of what I described probably the African dwarf frog and Surinam toad would be the best choices - they're mostly aquatic, rarely coming up to land, if at all; 4) Eels - in my opinion some eels, or at least eel like fish would be a great idea. Very fascinating to watch them burrow into the soil and hunt from there, waiting in ambush. And the way they swim like snakes is just mesmerising! Please give them a thought; 5) Salamanders - saw them suggested and really liked the idea. I agree that some cool salamanders (maybe even the stunning fire salamander!) would be superb. Although, speaking of salamanders, perhaps an axolotl would be a good choice, at least it's not poisonous and not that big, so it won't eat up all the small fish. And it's super cute; 6) Green basilisk - this is one of my personal suggestions. I think a basilisk would fit perfectly into the vivarium! And it's simply stunningly beautiful! I know there might not be enough land for it, but then, maybe it could use the future cave tunnel to go to Pantdora and Orchadia? I think it'll do well in Orchadia. Please give the basilisk a thought; 7) Borneo earless monitor - another option for a reptile is a Borneo earless monitor. They're relatively small and look absolutely mind-blowing, prehistoric, like some spiky ancient dinosaurs or even dragons; 8) Archer fish - suggested a thousand times, I think these fish would make the vivarium a lot more lively, and watching them snipe bugs sitting on those branchy roots would be a sight to behold)) And they're native to where you live; 9) Freshwater butterflyfish - if archers are, perhaps, too big and will eat many small fish, consider a freshwater butterflyfish. They don't exhibit any specific fascinating behaviour like archers, but they look cool and a bit alien; 10) Splash tetras - those creative fish that decided the best way to preserve their eggs from predators would be to jump out of water and leave them on the leaves of plants. If you could get them to breed, it would be terrific!; 11) Freshwater pipefish - we obviously can't get a seahorse for a freshwater vivarium, then these fish that are closely related to them would be an awesome and fascinating addition; 12) A school of fish - I believe the vivarium is just screaming for a big school of fish like neons, cardinals or danio-rerio, the silver rockets to watch zoom around the tank. Very relaxing and captivating to watch them swim about and study the interactions of the fish between each other; 13) Bottom feeders - in my experience, catfish and other bottom feeders are far from boring, they can be very fun to watch dig around in the soil. So, whether it be corydoras, siamese algae eaters (that I personally enjoy in my aquarium), plecos - the gentle giants, or any other species, I'm sure they'd be a much needed addition; 14) Crustaceans - nothing like some beautiful crayfish and crabs, maybe even triops and, most importantly, shrimps, for example fanning shrimps! I have an aquarium of my own, and watching Amano shrimps interact with fish is very enjoyable and fascinating!; 15) Insects and spiders - we'd for sure need some fishing spiders in there, and insects like gerridae, dragonfly larvae to watch hatch and totally a cool diving beetle, beloved Rocksteady's cousin from the wetlands; 16) Mud turtle - probably one of the few turtle species that could be added to the vivarium and won't eat up all the small fish. This turtle is usually no bigger than 4 inches, so I guess it could be safe to introduce and become a nice addition to the vivarium; 17) Snails - I think some big beautiful snails, for example rabbit snails, bright yellow apple snails or different nerite snails would be nice to observe and will add a splash of colour to the vivarium! And they're the most important element for controlling plants; 18) Freshwater anemone - not much to say here, if it can be somehow arranged, I think it would be fabulous; In general, I'd go for a diverse community of many animals rather than one big predator to eat everything up - like a big fish or, sadly, Godzilla. If you choose it to be one fish though, maybe consider a bichir or a black ghost knifefish - cool bud with a zap of electricity. If you choose community, I think you should almost certainly add guppies to populate the vivarium and, well, yeah, also be a food source...)) And, of course, not all of the species above could coexist together, but after all it's for you to create food chains and decide who you will include, if any. I also want to say that I absolutely enjoy your vivarium series, never miss a video and look forward to new ones eagerly! Ant Love Forever!

Man, I'm so fckn jealous of your setups. As an enthusiast if terrariums and aquariums, this is like heaven. I used to sit in front of mine for hours just in a whole different world. Even at night. I've kept everything from different species of fish, exotic geckos, a scorpion, a tarantula, a snake, and different creatures using realistic landscaping. I'm a nerd when it comes to this stuff. I can definitely see schools of minnows and crabs, shrimp, snails (when numbers are kept in check) and different species of aquatic insects in there for starters. Aquatic insects brought a whole different world to the enclosure. There's so much that can be done with this setup 😫

Absolutely stunning! As one of your "plant people" followers and owner of an "Ikea cabinet paludarium" I beg you to plant your Crytanthus Bromeliads in the ground! These Bromeliads are terrestrial and NOT epiphytes [growing on another plant] like the other species you showed and need a nutrient rich [or fertilized] peat based, slightly moist soil to grow and mature. Spagnum moss and coco fiber is not enough to sustain them. They also need to be upright to keep water in their cup. I can recommend adding a Platycerium [staghorn fern] to the top half of the vivarium instead. They are stunning! Apart from that I again learned _so much_ from your beautiful cinematic and expertly narrated documentary that I can apply to my vivariums. 🫶

Would heavily limit the stocking options though. They are quite large fish and would happily consume any creatures that goes in, from schooling tetras to shrimp. You'd have to stock big fish in with them like sevrums and angelfish and I don't think a dozen big fish are the vibe he's going for with this scape.
