Antspur Rapier vs Commander Niall (no hit, no weapon upgrades)

I managed to get another no hit fight, so again my HP bar didn't matter.
This is a very tough boss mainly because of his bodyguards. He also has a mean frost stomp that is very hard to dodge (if it's even possible), so instead I choose to evade it positionally.

This is part of a playthrough in which I don't upgrade any weapons and I only level vigor.
