My piano teacher set me this and these tips are a life saver! It’s so much easier to practice from the beginning with good technique to save the headache of unlearning bad technique later. Thank you 🙏🏻🤗

I'm new to piano. I played other instruments in highschool so many decades ago. I'm 2 months in and my tutor gave me this. I'm struggling and stressed to say the least. Thank you for this very indepth tutorial. The wrist movements especially. Lovely playing! ❤❤

Beautifully done. I appreciate all the nuances you point out here, along with the techniques to play this piece most effectively. I'm a very new pianist--I meant to learn for years and finally started studying just over a year ago. I was learning a super-simplified arrangement of this waltz and came here to listen to the real thing. I think I could learn most of it, but the final section may be beyond me. I want to give it a try, though. It will take me a while! I appreciate the score that you have made available, particularly with the fingerings. I'll buy you a coffee! ♬

Dear Patrice, thank you for the kind words! I hope the video helps you to learn the piece and enjoy this music! About the last section, as you are playing piano, not for a very long time, I suggest focusing on the wrist flexibility and slow practicing. All the best!

Thank you so so much for teaching! You have corrected me many parts that I have done incorrectly so that made the play sounds not yet professionally. This piece is not very tech challenge but musically difficult to play. You are a good teacher! Thank you again.

first of all, thank you! this is genuinely helping me a lot at the moment. i was also wondering if you could recommend any sort of exercises to assist me with the piece’s technique?
@Antune2 жыл бұрын
Happy to hear the video is helpful! Thank you. There can be different opinions on this, but I feel there is no need to include exercises next to practicing this Waltz. Instead, I would recommend focusing on improving each motion in the piece. Good luck!

I actualy have a question: do you play the melody at the same time than the first note from the left hand chord which is argeggied or at the end of the last note of the chord ?

With the last note.

Your tutorial(s)would be greater If you display above the sheet a virtual keyboard,because it's not always easy to see what key your fingers are playing..Especially in this Waltz with all these fast arpeggios...But,in general,a virtual keyboard is a plus😊...
