No I need to keep practicing. So many things to work on. Timing is off and some incorrect notes. But it’s a work in progress.

Dear teacher, I loved it. It is amazing how you're able to describe patterns and nuances of music. I've just found your lessons (from the Bach Prelude in C minor tutorial) and already feel so grateful for them. I'm just a beginner, know almost nothing about tecniques. Your way of interpreting and expressing the essence of a piece feels genuine and gets straight to my understanding, without unnecessary complications. I'm eager to study with your help. Thank you! ❤

Interesting description by Schumann as charming, dreamy, and soft, in contrast to its "Bees" nickname. As you play it at speeds above 100, it also ceases to be p. To achieve this tempo, you need your piano action well regulated. I even sold my Yamaha S6 SH, which had a silent system that couldn't be regulated precisely, and got a purely acoustic Bösendorfer to play it. Yet, after many years, I still find it challenging!

Amazing tutorial! I was just wondering how the pedal would work for the second phrase. Do I just release and instantly repress the pedal every time the left hand changes notes? Or do I just keep it pressed the entire time? Sorry if it is a dumb question, this is my first piece practicing musicality.

Awesome explanation on how to impart music into one of Bach's more famous works. It's sad that Bach's music wasn't fully appreciated in his time, especially considering the massive amount of music he had written. Humankind was graced that this work was eventually recognized and revitalized by many subsequent generations of musicians and composers.

Wow, a total masterclass in one of my favorite pieces of all time. I've got the prelude down really well but still learned something, and I have been banging my head against the fugue for longer than I care to admit. Thank you so much!

It is really astonishing what complexity is hidden in this (at a first glance) technically simple piece - and how you explain and master this complexity.

I've been listening to Rachmaninov for years but never attempted playing any of his works. Learning to play this I'm shocked by how simple and natural it all is once you get past the mechanics.

Great, but also: Practice A LOT slower Use a metronome!!!!! More emotion Use your fingers less, wrists and elbows more Work in voicing in the left hand Also your timing in the first two measures after the right hand starts is slightly off. Practice ridiculously slow, like 40-60 bpm max. It’s the only way to play faster and to master using elbows/wrists/whole body. Type shit -a drunk pianist Edit: When you play that slow make sure you simultaneously: 1 lift your finger from the previous key, 2 press the current key using weight/momentum/gravity rather than only thinking about only using your finger and pressing the key , and 3 place your next finger on the next key.

Other instrumentalists: so here's how you play this passage. Pianists: gives an essay on the meaning of life, the origin of thoughts, feelings and emotions, recites Pi to 3000 digits and requires you to memorize the entire bible before they even get to the point of their video.
