Even before the Museum aan de Stroom (MAS) in Antwerp, Belgium, opened its doors to the public, the building was heralded as the port city's new urban symbol. The museum is located in the former harbor docklands and showcases Antwerp's history of maritime trade. Designed by top Dutch architects, the building recalls cargo containers stacked on top of one another.
