AMM3 Definitely! It has a deeper, richer sound and in my eyes it looks more beautiful.

Great comparison! 😀 As you say it's interesting to hear the difference in tonewoods with all other factors being pretty much equal. They are very different. The AKK3 has that brighter, thinner (in a good way) sound. Definitely different enough to justify owning both!! 😀🤙👍

Yes, I certainly think they're different enough - which isn't always the case when two ukes are from one company!

@@WorldofUkes True! I watched an HMS video where they compared the Pono mahogany, mango and acacia standard models. They did a blindfold sound test and struggled to tell them apart....

I am surprised that I like the mahoginey better than the koa.

I think they're different enough that people will have a choice either way. I think I prefer the koa picked, and the mahogany strummed, which complicates matters!

Maybe coz the body construction of AMM was tailored for mahogany when aNueNue first rolled out the model.

Both have got an amazing amount of attack I could give either a home , maybe with a low g to get that bluesy vibe .
