usually, when i have cymbals so close ( or unsecured so they swing more ) that they hit each other, there's this arythmic clashing that happens, but apparently on brother anup's kit, even the cymbals that bang into one another work together for the good of the song.

I discovered this guy through a drum reaction video and being a lifelong metalhead couldn't believe I'd never come across anything he'd been a part of until 2022. He is super underrated and wish he put out more solo stuff where the drums are live but all the other instruments are programmed. It sounds so unorthodox but his albums are so good, especially for being mostly vocal-less as well. On paper it sounds terrible but his music resonates with me for sure
