Great review of a great ship. It simply does everything really well and its still awaiting its primary function. The Carack is home tag that it carries is very appropriate, you can absolutely live in it.

Hitched a ride in one of these yesterday with a friend from multiple games. He made me fly into and land at A18 from the top bridge. It was a very fun experience with a lot of beginners luck. It's an awesome ship! :)

I recently bought a Carrack pledge and I have zero regrets. I agree with everything here. I tried all the flyable big ships and I always come back to the Carrack, because it's the one ship that'll let me do whatever I want. When drones become available it'll be able to mine and salvage too.

The 3 carracks in formation...Just epic. Yes the Carrack has a hefty price, but this includes a Pisces and an Ursa. I love having the convenience of these additional vehicles. The Odyssey costs more and will require the purchase of a vehicle and a snub to fill the hangers, or these can be left empty. The mining head (size 2) on the Odyssey is the same as one Mole turret and a similar mining capability of a Prospector as size 2 mining lasers only have additional range when compared to a size 1. Imagine a ship larger than a Hammerhead, with a prospector mining laser mining rocks. One hot rock and the ship will not be moving in a hurry. I feel this is a bad combination of ship size and laser size i.e. poor design. Obviously, this is just my guess. I was originally excited to see the Odyssey, however the lack of scanning, the limitations when using a single mining head, restricted refinery (only does fuel), empty hangers and the additional $$$ cost made this a solid pass. I would like to try it in game, but in my opinion the Carrack is the clear winner. Apologies for going off topic. The Odyssey is a fun ship to speculate about, and is often in Carrack conversations.

I have the exploration skin of this ship and use it on a regular basis to do bunker missions. I keep multiple sets of armor on board just in case I get incapacitated while running one. I really hope they address the quantum fuel problem in the future. It could be solved by replacing 2 of the cargo pods with a size 2 mining pod and another pod with a fuel refining pod, then leave the 3rd pod as cargo.

You could improve the ship massivley by just making the elevator go all the way to the ground. Opening hatches on the cargo bays too. Love the feel and sound design of this ship.

My husband and I pledge the pack a while back for the exploration package , I traded in the terapin for Argo mole and Traded the Dragonfly in for the C8R Pisces . I am Debeating the Freelancer trade in or not . No regrets on this pack however for We long made our money back and more since the time we bought it . We enjoy it even if the game never sees the light of day on full release . 😀

Finally got my Carrack this week and love it. The hospital bed is great but my favorite feature of the ship is the hanger where I keep the new Pisces C8R. I do a lot of rescue missions in game and man it is just what the doctor ordered.

The concept version of the Carrack looks like a toy compared to the final in game version. Very satisfied on how it turned out, especially with those antenna's extended. Nice Vid, I enjoy seeing this channel grow.

05:51 What you didn't really expand on, and really is worth mentioning, is that the modular cargo pods will also be swappable for pods that have a completely different purpose than cargo. Just another sweet feature of the Carrack! Well made and edited video. I really enjoyed all your camera angles. There is one 3/4 view of a landed Carrack after 05:06 I'm going to recreate, to have set as my desktop background. 🖖

I had a Carrack with just 6 months of insurance. So the other night I melted it so that I could re-buy it with the current offer of 120 month insurance. It wasn't until after the purchase that I realized I had the BIS paint for my old Carrack (white with yellow tint bridge glass) and I lost that paint when I melted the ship. I loved that paint! Looked on the black market, Mr.Fats, and couldn't find anyone selling it. So bummed.

yea right now it is the only one with the respawn capability but many more are coming... heck the 600i explorer is getting one and it can be flown solo for bounty missions because of the firepower the pilot commands, while the carrack can only attempt to do so with crew enough to man the turrets, and it will also have a much more useable cargo area than it currently has once the rework drops. do not get me wrong, the carrack is a great ship but in ways the 600i explorer will be better if you want to fly it solo or a crew of 2 in the near future. to be useful with firepower the carrack demands a crew of at least 3.

@@biker_scout1810 i agree and disagree, the carrack is a great ship if you have a crew of 3 or more, but with 1 to 2 the 600i wins IMO. after the rework the cargo bay looks like you will be able to fit at the very least an m50, probably 2. it will fit at least a rover and you might be able to fit a couple hover bikes or maybe even a snub or two with a rover. we shall see... it all depends on what you plan on doing... i happen to own them both. so i see the value in each of them, if i have enough crew i will probably use the carrack but if there are two of us then the 600i. i like to do bunker missions either solo or sometimes with one other person and i will do some space bounties so the 600i is a better choice in those circumstances and it will probably be somewhat of a daily driver for me. now i should make it clear that i have a very large RSI hanger so i have plenty of ships to choose from and can pick and choose for whatever situation and amount of crew i need to cater to.

@@biker_scout1810 hey if you own a bunch of little ships i suggest keeping your favorite little ship and melting and upgrading the other small ones to larger ones because the cheap small ships are very easy to earn in game quickly and the larger ships you want will take much longer.

My Carrack is my home and I absolutely love it. In the games current state there are some bugs such as; Pisces landing gear being up issue when loading in, max of 3 vehicles at a time (would like to have my ROC, URSULA, C8r, and maybe Arrow(?), having too many things in weapon locker causing things to disappear, etc...but seeing some updates in 3.18 it should be fixed. I love having my Carrack be our mobile HQ and my friends come in with nothing and have everything available for them for whatever adventure we embark. True versatile ship for all gameplay!

Perfect timing for a Carrack review with a Best in Show paint edition coming at IAE. I've been considering the Carrack for many months now, and looking to get a warbond CCU to it on BIS-Day when offered with the BIS paint (I think the Anvil-Day WB CCU won't include the BIS paint).

I love my Carrack...its like a mobile base. I like the fact that I can spawn and log in to my ship if I leave it somewhere in space or park it on a planet.....well thats the idea anyway. In practice its a little sketchy with the way the servers are....but you get the idea.

pretty sure the Aurora only has one bed... where do you get the extra bed idea? i suggest upgrading to a cutlass black, it has 2 beds, way more quantum distance and solid firepower with a useable 1,2,or even 3 man crew capability with land vehicle carry and light cargo trading as well.

Hi, I really liked your video, but I haven't found a thing. The Carrack has 4 folded antennas, 2 on each side of the ship. How do they unfold? I can't find the option, however they are saved there and I see them displayed in images.

Thank you at this time they are not deployable. That as well as the roll out armor over the cockpit bridge area will be future tech. I would imagine the antenna will come when advanced scanning features are brought in

I love the idea of long range exploration. I wanted to do it in style so i bought a Phoenix. I would love to have a carrack. the ability to respawn in the med bay makes it perfect for me. Im a new player so im prone to idiotic mistakes. The idea of staying in orbit and deploying a landing craft to the surface to explore really appeals to me. Then if theres a problem, i can respawn back on the carrack. I will definatly be grinding for this ship over the next few months. Thanks for the great review. o7 xXSubZeroXx
