+Cloudy Milder Thanks Andy. Appreciate you watching and commenting. Yes, that Lips LP is a grail for me. So glad to have it in my collection. I have their new album pre-ordered as well. Anxious for that.

I had no idea that Anvil had this many cds or lps out. I figured they only had 3 or 4 selections. Wow! Thanks for showing us your collection! Rock On!

Yes, people sort of forgot about them after their third or forth record. It was weird how they were gaining so much success than just fell off the face of the planet for many metal fans.

Hey Scott....great video. Lots of memories for me. ..I had played a ton of shows with Anvil in the early 2000's when I was in my thrash band Reckon With One. With that said you forgot an album..in 2001 they released an amazing album called "Plenty of Power"...great stuff. A few years later I joined Piledriver and played a ton of shows with them again in Canada and the USA. Mark Anthony K Projekt Gemineye

Sorry for late comment but I want to thank you because you got one more fan to Anvil, me. So, thank you and before I bought my first album from them I read your reviews from nolifetilmetal and I ordered Juggernaut of justice. Cant wait to hear that album.

Didn't start getting into Anvil til I saw the Story of Anvil. Only have the autographed DVD but have all their music on MP3.
@nolifetilmetal110 жыл бұрын
It's a great movie too. I mean, it's almost Spinal Tap for this millennium, isn't it? Haha! Only sad thing is, it's a true story and not a fictitious band.

Fantastic video Scott. Always nice to see a fan talk about music, not someone just doing something cool to gain viewers. Would like to see more of this sort of thing again. Would like to see you and Randy doing a talk about music again.

I have a few more videos like this, I did collection videos on Raven, Twisted Sister, At War and a few others.Also, I plan on doing more videos with Randy in the future. Hope to do the 1980 Top 20 with him. That will be a blast.

Scott Waters an 80s top 20 would be awesome! You both work well together doing videos, looking forward to them. Look forward to the others, this one came out very well!

cool update, saw Anvil so many times especially early 2000's where the shows were actually free around Toronto for diehards and they did it out of love for the band/fans. I was at Lip's 50th show/party that u see at the start of the Doc. Nice to see they have diehards around the world. good stuff. cheers
@nolifetilmetal110 жыл бұрын
Do you have any old Anvil memorabilia, tshirts, etc from those old shows? If so, I'd love to see it.

Scott Waters I have an Anvil T I picked up around 99 or so. standard black Tee, nothing special. I do have stashed away alot of my old 80's 3/4 length Tee's and I have an Anvil one. Might someday do a vid on em when I get all my music stuff under 1 roof. Dude, uploaded your vclt if u didn't see it. thanks again, and give my best to Bill at Roxx. God Bless, cheers

Awesome video as always Scott! I love Anvil, they sure make me proud to be Canadian, lol! I had the pleasure of seeing them here in the Great White North 4 years ago, and man-oh-man what a show! We got to meet Lips, Robb and G5 after the show and they were just the nicest people! You can really feel their appreciation towards the fans; they took pictures with us and even signed my copy of "Juggernaut of Justice"... Dude, you should contact the band and try to get an official release of "Ironclad"! It looks amazing! Great collection man, keep up the good work!
@nolifetilmetal19 жыл бұрын
CineBrosSupreme Yes, when I met Anvil they were very nice as well. Seemed genuinely into talking with the fans waiting around to meet them. An official release of Ironclad would rule!

Todd Mitchell Nice. I wish I still had my original collection from the 80's. Sold it off in 1990, but I cannot complain too much. It gave us a down deposit on our first home and I've gained back much of it over the years anyhow. I'm just behind you, 48 and saw tons of concerts in the 80's as well.

MY GOODNESS I LOVE ANVIL. One of the best underrated bands. Good to know an Anvil fan. I. Only have Juggernaut Of Justice unfortunately. But will collect them all. Great video too. Keep on poundin'!!! \m/
@nolifetilmetal19 жыл бұрын
pandemonium 150 Great! Anvil are one of the originals of heavy metal, speed metal and thrash metal. Juggernaut of Justice is very good. It is one of the albums I am still missing on vinyl. I'll get it eventually. I highly recommend getting Metal on Metal and Forged in Fire next. Two killer classics.
@pandemonium15059 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I have to watch out too. Even though I love all of their stuff. I have a very religious step mom and some of their albums have 666 on their album covers. I know they don't sing about that stuff. Except from the song "666" but she would have a problem with it. I don't care about it though. I usually sneek past her. So yeah I'll consider it.

Hey Scott! Great video on one of my favorite metal bands! I was curious as to whether or not your Japan copy of "Forged in Fire" included a promo poster? I just acquired a copy, & have yet to see others with the poster that was included in mine, but a few old users from an old fan-blog website for metal collectors back a few years ago. Was curious if yours came with one? Thank you. AJ.

Hate to say it, but I'm basically an ANVIL virgin. Have a few songs here and there, but no albums. I may have to remedy that at the upcoming Swap Meet eh ?

I was an Anvil virgin until I watched this video. Then I bought the dvd movie. If you've not seen it I recommend it. Great passion have the band, it's sad at times when you see some of the troubles they have. I jumped in with the Forged in Fire album and loved it.
