@@DocSnipes absolutely! I am a visual learner and video tends to go well. But not just that your explanation and you are straight to the point and make things easier to understand! PPT with your explanation goes better than me just reading the text. I check your resources often when I don’t get certain dsm stuff or something get too dried. Appreciate your vids all the time :-)

Dismorphism is that related to dysmorhpia?
@DocSnipes8 ай бұрын
Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) is a mental health condition where a person is excessively concerned about and preoccupied with a perceived defect in their physical appearance. It's characterized by obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors related to one's body image. Although "dismorphism" is not a term commonly used in the clinical context, it seems you might be referring to "dysmorphism," which generally refers to a difference in body shape or structure, often due to genetic conditions. While dysmorphic features in a medical context usually refer to physical anomalies that are often congenital, body dysmorphic disorder is a psychological condition where the concern must be about things other than weight or body shape, such as the size of one's hands or the color of their hair. The distress in BDD is focused on perceived flaws that may be minor or not observable to others. In summary, while dysmorphic features refer to actual physical anomalies, body dysmorphic disorder is a psychological condition focused on perceived physical flaws. They are related in the sense that they both deal with body structure and appearance, but they are distinct concepts-one medical and one psychological.
