My ex accused me of suffering from BPD, but I'm feeling too anti social after being subjected to Narcisstic abuse by my parents, bullies in school and narcisstic partners, so I just want to move, if I had a drivers licence and live in a van and being away from people.

If you've been abused by narcissists, can you then develop BPD, please

HEY all FOSTERKIDS: Are you in fostercare or have you been in fostercare? Have your fosterfamilily or the childprotection workers told you that your mom or dad or other kindship relatives are NARCISISTS (or other kind of bad people for you to relate to?) Do you really believe this? Do not believe them. Find out yourselves. CPS and fosterparents most often tell you this bad stuff about your kindship relatives, to make you stay away from your own family, to get controle of you. Your mom, dad or other relatives are probably like most other people, "good and bad in everyone," but love their children very much and not at all dangerous for you to keep up an relationship with.. So if you sometimes think about your mom, dad other relatives you have not been in contact with for a long time and miss them, dont be afraid to call or send them a letter- probably they have missed you a lot and will respond in a positive manner-and then you have the possibility to find out if your mom,dad or other relatives are those terrible narcisistic persons the cps and your fosterparents might have pretended they are- or good people you might enjoy to reestablish a relationship with, Find out yourself - not just believe what your fosterparents or cps workers have told you!

Thanks for your clear and professional lectures. I studied psychology and biology with a focus on neuroscience at UT. And your information tracks with things i learned. But yes, I AM furthering my understanding here. I was a total mess with menopause, but I wasn't sure why as to all my symptoms. The pandemic was going on...and i also have autism and complex PTSD due to being a domestic violence survivor. So, the doctors kept throwing antidepressants at me. And i had bad reactions to all of them. Regular HRT helped with hot flashes and maybe 40% of energy. But i was stacking multiple medications for anxiety and insomnia to just barely function. Eventually, i changed doctors and got my testosterone tested. It was near zero. So, i decided to at least try hormone pellets with testosterone. It took a few months...but i started having energy to work out after work...and my anxiety went away...and i was able to go off all the medications for anxiety and insomnia. So...my conclusion is that the testosterone deficiency was causing anxiety, depression, and insomnia! Im sure each case is different. But in my case, after watching your videos and finding the right doctors, i was able to correct a hormone that was causing me mental health problems. Thank you!!!!

Amazing. So true about needing to cultivate the ego with care.. allow yourself to feel your aspects with curiosity and kindness and allow expression of what you could not be as a child. Figuring out prefrences... when I started my healing work- I didn't even have any prefrences or actually direction I was pursuing... I was a shell of a human and had no real substance as it had been beaten out of me. My mother also, would compare my life ( if I ever expressed pain or difficulty) by saying "how much worse" she had it. To this day she still try's to invalidate any negative emotion by making it about her... actively denying the bad parts and ignoring the good at best. Nothing could ever just be about me, even my sports as a child was as a tool for her self image- which I could never bolster or compliment or support enough because she would deny and say "really? Do you think I'm smart/pretty/intelligent..."etc. it was so hurtful to have to constantly praise her and revive no praise in return- and on top of it- she's play this game by denying and being self deprecating so that my endless compliments were not even received. I've had to learn to define SELF and teach myself that all of my emotions are valid- regardless of anyone else. It's taken me a decade to figure out the emotional fallout from my childhood. If anyone reads this, IRENE LYON on YT and her flavor of Somatic Experoencing has been pivotal to my healing. ❤

I opened all my knuckles punching my keyboard simply because a key didn’t work. Then reopened them the same day by punching my steering wheel cause my vehicle was making an annoying noise. I felt like such an idiot after that and realized it’s time to address the problem. I’m always pissed off and I have no idea why. While I’ve only ever taken it out on inanimate objects, I don’t ever want people to see me like that.

I can personally attest that empathy was key in my own healing from narcissistic traits, and I think is often overlooked in its importance. It started first for me with being empathetic to myself and understanding what that actually looked like. I think maybe many people do not realize that at least some of those with narcissistic personality traits (developed as a defense from childhood trauma, yes) may look like they give themselves whatever they want and are thus empathetic to themselves, when at least for me this was not the case. I did not know how actually to be *kind* to myself, and what supporting good mental health looked like. Once I was able to give this to myself, it was not only possible but fulfilling to give this to others; "you cannot give from an empty cup." I look foward to the day that I can provide this sort of guidance in a professional setting, because I believe in its power to change someone's life, and therefore everyone around them. Doc Snipes, your material is fantastic- every video a gem- and I appreciate you greatly 🙏

Thank you so much for creating this video - I can see by the comments it’s been a great resource for everyone ✨ I was just diagnosed a couple of days ago, after what looks like a lifetime (43) of signs and symptoms. I feel like I’ve found some confidence, that it was ‘just anxiety’ ‘go eat healthy and exercise’ ‘we all get tired’. I’ll rewatch again soon and take better notes 🙌🏼🌸
