Any Base Logarithm on a TI-84 Plus

Use the new "any base" functionality to compute a log of any base. Logs Logarithm.

For the people who's calculator only shows "logBASE" press the MODE key ad change the setting from 'Classic' to 'MathPrint'.

Thank you... God! Our goddamn teacher did not tell us this... I thought was Impossible to do Logarithms with a different base than 10 or e in the calculator. Our book ask us to solve some of Logarithmic Equations graphically... and I didn't know how to use the "any base" functionality. Thank you, now I don't need to do everything algebraically :D

Install a program from Texas Instruments called "TI Connect". This allows you to install / download data and programs to and from your calculator. You will need a USB cable. TI Connect has a menu option to check and install the latest firmware for your calculator. Good luck.

when i hit the alpha, Y= key, window key and then hit 5, logBase( comes up. it doesnt appear like yours. how do i put in the base in this case.

+adamu pastor It sounds like you do not have "MathPrint" mode on. Press the MODE key ad change the setting from 'Classic' to 'MathPrint'. Hope that fixes it!
