Hey man, I just watched your live all bosses speedrun on the GDQ channel from a few days ago and was wondering what some of the differences are between Remaster and Prepare To Die edition when it comes to speedrunning. I don't speedrun although I've played these games many times so I'm just curious what things are different that causes people to run that version of the game. I'm guessing all the best strategies were worked out for the older version and don't work on Remaster, but I am just curious.

Seems like it's like around 45-55 seconds faster. This run was pretty bad though unfortunately. I finished a 19:21 with a fake sword yesterday.

@@poppipo1222 since the main weapon used in this run has a 1 in 3 chance of dropping, speedrunners often use a tool named gadget to spawn in the sword in the inventory when it doesn't drop in order to avoid resetting all the time because of bad rng - so that's why people are referring to when they talk about a fake sword or a gadget run, those runs are not considered legit and aren't accepted on the leaderboards
