With Tanezaki's high skill, she could pull off a great Yor, but Hayamin is the gold standard for soft spoken demure waifus, so is quite wise of her to step aside for Hayamin.

True. Then again, after thinking about it, with Tanezaki's voice-acting skills, I can see her possibly using her Hinatsuru voice from Demon Slayer. I think like most people, even I didn't realize both Hinatsuru and Anya share the same voice actress.

Atsumi Tanezaki has great range...but Hayamin is Hayamin.

That's true, to be fair. I think Tanezaki has a lot of voice ranges, but Hayamin usually sticks to just one voice which is her soft voice, which makes her distinguishable when we see her characters in an anime.

I love saori San voice so much literally even if she sounds same in most characters i can hear her soft voice all day. Ayaka is my favorite 😍

An ordinary seiyuu would not be able to audition for Anya's voice even if she thought another VA would be better suited for the role of Yor. Because the voices and performances required are completely different. Atsumi Tanesaki's high skill and trust made this possible.

Atsumi is such a fantastic seiyuu, I've watched every episode of the 2020 remake of Dai no Daibouken, and just finished watching Vivy Fluorite Eye's Song, where she voiced the male protagonist Dai, and the female android protagonist Vivy in each respective series. Dai's (Atsumi's) voice will probably stay in my mind forever, till the day I die. And her performance as Vivy in that emotional blockbuster anime was so moving, I almost cried in many of its scenes. And of course her iconic cute rendition of Anya's famous lines, such as "Chi chi Utso Tsuki" will probably be remembered and be replayed by anime fans forever. Hope the anime world remembers Atsumi as a legendary seiyuu, and she has so many more roles for her to play in future animes as well.

Welp, no wonder for seiyuu with such wide ranges like her (and ofc like my queen UESHAMA). They got no comfort role so even for small roles the flexibility really helps them nailed it.

Funny enough, this means "Dai" conceded to "his waifu", as Saori Hayami is also in Dai no Daibouken as Princess Leona (Dai's love interest).
