I'm new to your channel. I have ordered my Kobra 3 yesterday, cant wait. So you are a teacher too? I am a substitute teacher and I will host a student 3d workshop for 4th graders (experimenting, working with TinkerCAD) for the first time. I proposed the Flashforge Adventurer 5m (the Pro being my first printer, and I love that machine) for this workshop to school leadership. How did you start incorporating students into your hobby? Best wishes from Germany :)

That's an excellent grade to start and TinkerCad is the optimal choice. As per your question, I would say that while my interest and usage of 3D printers predated teaching , my usage and tinkering have increased side by side since teaching. Obviously I continue to create independent of STEM teaching such as building static and functional droids. However I find that many of my hobby projects can often be translated into something that could be integrated into the STEM curriculum. For example building a droid such as a Star Wars inspired version not only makes it fun by blending pop culture with STEM education but in its process the students get to learn about servos and gears and the integration of things like Arduino which touches upon coding etc. So there's definitely been a lot of synergy between projects that I do personally and projects that I'll do with the kids in the stem labs/classes. Anyway thank you so much for joining and visiting my channel, and always a pleasure to meet a fellow educator. Happy Printing !

I heard that Anycubic may add the color accessories for their older 3d printers. Do you know if this is true?

@@jeromeweaver809 From what I heard I thought that that was Creality CFS I am not aware that they're doing it for any cubic but I could have it mixed up. Either way I'll reach out to some contacts I made at the Rapid TCT event who work for the company and get back to you on this.

The multicolor takes long time complete, does the speed of the machine help with that much? In other reviews, seems like it does product a lot of waste as well. Its still too early to tell if this will be a worthy !avhine. They have still yet to finish the software side of things. And haven't had much of their orders fulfilled. I'm a kobra2 pro user myself, just want anycubic to better support their printers if I'm going to buy the kobra3. Only time will tell.

The problem is not the speed because this new machines are fast as hell but the time to change filament purge it then make the Towers is what takes to long also now imagine if it had many colors then it will be swapping constantly which take too long just to make a single line.

I have mixed feelings about multicolor 3D printing in general. Speed and waste are significant issues for me, often preventing me from using these devices in my projects. However, the ACE, AMS, or CFS (depending on the brand) do offer several benefits.Sometimes my projects require a lot of filament, or I simply don't want to lose production time changing a roll of filament. These multicolor filament solutions are fantastic for allowing your 3D printer to automatically switch to a backup roll of the same color.Specifically with the ACE from Anycubic, I appreciate that it's an active dryer. I've been using drying packets with the AMS, but my filament still gets brittle over time. I like that the ACE actively dries the filament.These units are also convenient because they allow me to load multiple colors and have them ready to go at any time, especially in a classroom setting. So, there are many benefits to these devices, even if you're not printing in multiple colors. While I'm not a fan of sacrificing time and filament, if I were printing something relatively small and needed a lot of them, I would consider using multiple colors because it reduces waste. This is because when you print the same object in quantity the amount of waste being purged is the same regardless if it's 1 or 10 items on the bed.

For future reference, this isn't a review; it's a spec sheet readout.

@@NWGR well I definitely respect your opinion I'm not so sure I totally agree with that. I definitely was able to review and get close up shots and ask questions of the staff and then communicate in the video. There's no doubt I definitely relay the specs but I review it as well in terms of seeing how it's printing, seeing what the noise level is, looking to see at how to speed is and the ease of using it. And then I provided my review on it in terms of whether or not this is good for a classroom setting. I'm sorry you felt the way you did

@@CaptainCreativity It's not a huge deal, but when I see "review" in a title, I expect a few weeks of usage at least; that way the reviewer has time to use the item, get to know it, become familiar with the pros and cons, etc.
@CaptainCreativity
@CaptainCreativity Ай бұрын
@@NWGR yeah I totally get that That's fair. Just so you know my process when I do these types of videos that come from a trade show usually day one I just come to play around with it, inspect it, ask questions etc. then I usually come back on day two and day three with more questions and more follow-up. So granted it's not as great as the ones that I do when I have the printer for several weeks I will say that I definitely try my best to give some sort of semi review and especially when it comes to reviewing things for classroom setting or objective. Thank you for the feedback and I'm going to be more selective on the title language

@@CaptainCreativity It's all good, the more content we have on 3d printers, the better, and the more fierce competition becomes between manufacturers, the better for us as well. I'm impressed with the kobra 3 ACE, the printer seems basic; nothing spectacular or enough to pull me away from the bambu ecosystem. That said, I am excited to see how the creality K2 turns out, I just don't have faith in creality; they rush products to market with "release with bugs/flaws, fix later" mentality. We'll see though. And kudos to getting out to one of the shows. That's a goal of my own eventually.
