Anycubic Photon 0 Print Not Starting Fix

So my photon and apparently some others as well like to randomly stop working for no apparent reason, in this video I update the firmware to fix the issue.
Really cant reccomend this printer, it prints yes but it is an absolute pain to work with for reasons such as this one. Spend the extra hundred to get a photon S rather.

My name is Chris, I am a 3D printing hobbyist from australia. I dont really specialise in anything specific, but 3D printed tools and tabletop accessories are some things youll probably seen quiet often. I do all my 3d printing on a Ender 3, which I highly recommend as a budget printer. Currently I only run 1 printer but I hope to expand that in the future. Recently acquired a photon 0 to do resin printing with. I like to share all my 3D printing ideas for free although I do plan to sell stuff in the future. Most of my projects will be mostly 3D printed with a few non printed components included, these can often be found on ebay. I actually use the cheapest filament I can get for all my projects, again I hope to change this in the future.

Hello, i got some issue, i turn on the print, and right when platform gets on the lowest point, and print should start, printer turns off every single time, print does not even start. Do you have any idea how to fix this?

Did you set home with the vat on the plate? I thought that was a bad idea?

ATTENTION I HAVE FOUND A FIX TO THIS ISSUE. Its super scuffed but it works if you get a format error while updating this is a workaround. So the printer draws too much power and that's what causes this issue, so if you open the printer unplug the -UV FAN- the printer will start because it will have the power requirements to run. Then plug back in the -UV FAN- and presto it'll work and not burn out.

I did this but it was still not working. I find on one website that the screen cooling fan might cause the problem. I unpluged it and connected to the main power source by connecting the cables. Now it's working fine, main difference is that now the cooling fan is working when the machine is on.

Same issue here. Updated firmware and it constantly occurs. I saw a 'fix' of plugging in USB after powering up and homing platter. It worked once! Now every attempt it grinds or stalls and does nothing.

WE JUST HAVE PROBLEMS BECAUSE THEY SEND THEIR PRINTER WITHOUT TESTING THEY SHOULD AT LEAST MAKE A PRINT TO SEE IF EVERYTHING IS OK BUT NO THEY WANT THE CASH AND THAT'S ALL

i agree honestly anycubic is garbage ill never support their trash again . 200$ for a broken ass pile of shit i havent even used in 5 years what a waiste of money

It seems very typical of today's sw releases to let it out poorly, if at all, tested.

@@st_antony2017 I unplugged one of the cooling fans now it works fine. Some how the current draw of the cooling fan and the stepper motor starting at the same time was too much
