The first full-length play I wrote was an adaptation of "Much Ado About Nothing" that was set in Provincetown, and I didn't know how to adapt anything, so I basically went beat-for-beat but changing the characters to LGBTQ people in modern day (it was the 1990s), and the one review I got in the paper said it was like sitting on the Titanic as it sank just to hear the band play. I suspect my version was better than this.

Funny thing about helicopter rescues in Australia is that they happen a lot and you actually do not pay for your rescue. It is covered by the government - there are some companies that provide sponsorships and they also get donations from the public.

oh god Andrew’s mention of Anne Hathaway just reminded me of her new upcoming movie (“the idea of you” on amazon prime 5/2) and i hope i get to hear y’all’s opinions on it PLS it’s based on a novel that was basically inspired by harry styles dating older women (which i have heard is Trash) so… interested in seeing how it plays out edit: felt it important to mention it’s directed by michael showalter!

Her last 2 movie was trash too. Eileen and She came to me, totally garbage, but not in a good way. Don't waste your time with these movies. Only good point she has a fabulous kitchen in She came to me.

From the trailer there was a bit of a line about how “his fans won’t like you” or something like that and that could be really interesting if it was actually a series look because he’s a teen heartthrob he sorta “treats her more like a person because she is mature and doesn’t care about him as a singer” but it won’t be that at all

First Avaryl nudges Andrew to watch this, now Andrew will push Avaryl to watch Madame Webb. Beautiful. I'm glad I watched the trailer and I knew it would be shit, and not in an enjoyable way. Avaryl did make me think of Easy A, a movie I liked fine but yeah, there's something off about it. But Friends With Benefits, uff - you wanna talk robots trying to approximate bottom of the barrel normal human behavior, look no further. Awful.

The perfect modern script adaptation of much ado about nothing was the BBC Shakespeare retold version from 2005. A local TV news station, Beatrice and Benedick as co-hosts with history who hate each other played by Sarah Parish and Damien Lewis. The producer ropes everyone into trying to get them to resolve their beef to save the show (clear motivation!) and the way they update the weird Hero and Claudio plotline played by Billie Piper and Claudio really works! I was obsessed with it as a teenager. Also I can't get over the fact that a lot of the hype around this movie was a rumour the leads were having an affair when they had ZERO chemistry!!

Sydney Sweeney is great in IMMACULATE. It's a thriller so Andrew might not be into it. But Avaryl may like it more. It has that Italian Giallo feel and a bit of Nunspoitation but not too campy. She was also a Producer on the movie.
