Yep. Its really sad because once those stereotypes start really getting to people and since they are so ridiculously prevalent in the world before you know it your believing them yourself. And you believe that everything the world thinks you are is all you'll ever be. So there's no point in trying to be something else. Its insane how something as simple as stereotypes (tho really stupid and superficial) can bring about such a deep loss of self-worth like that...I like how you can usually find such realistic themes in movies like this once you really think about it. I love that Zootopia tackles a pretty hard topic by internalizing the themes of racism into the main character, instead of just externalizing it into the villain. Turning it into a personal flaw and chance for growth instead of just fighting some "bad guy" leaves so much room for depth. Also the scene with Nick getting bullied is absolutely heart breaking because the first thing he says isn't "What are *you* doing?" it's "What did *I* do wrong?" He immediately internalized that experience.

Yeah, you can kinda tell this was supposed to be the b-movie the studio was doing on the side while they made Moana. They really weren't expecting it to do as well as it did, as evidenced by the amount of marketing that came around when it was released compared to Moana later that year. They'd put most their eggs in that movie's basket and moved on when it was all over, leaving Zootopia in the dust. On the bright side, they are making an anthology mini-series set in the Zootopia universe that's supposed to come out on Disney+ next spring.

I like how this movie teaches to look beyond stereotypes, as well as to go beyond racism, and that nothing is what seems and that people can be manipulative yes, but it shows you have to be careful who you trust and that people can change for the better.

The part with the unreleased movies always hurts knowing that Gigantic was cancelled :,( it’s the only evidence that that movie existed to the general public

I’m not gonna lie. When Nick attacked Judy I remembered it being much more dramatic. Probably because it legitimately traumatized me. But I now I absolutely love the movie.

I’ll never forget the day when I went to the theatre and saw a Disney movie about discrimination in the United States- Okay, but seriously, the parallels are uncanny. The way Zootopia is talked about, white supremacist Bellwether, and ESPECIALLY the scheme of targeted drug distribution framing one demographic. It’s insane. Disney takes no prisoners.

A scene that is rarely mentioned is when Judy gives up her badge. Sure, she is taking it too far. She could have worked within the system to undo her mistake. But the point is, she takes responsibility for her actions. And for the first time Chief Bogo understands that she is the real deal. This bunny would have never cheated or accepted any help to go through the Academy. This bunny would probably have quit if she found out she had an unfair advantage. Even if she had never asked for it. No, she was the best of her class fair and square. And while Mayor Lionheart forced her on Bogo, she deserved a chance at Precinct 1.

First of all your sisters have a really good taste 👍 This is probably my favourite animated movie, for sure is one of my top 3. Even though it's a movie for children, it has so much meanibg and everything to be watched by adults without it feeling like a movie for kids. I watched this with 2 friends of mine in cinema and one of my friends and I looked at each other by about the half of the movie when we figuered out who it actually was and our other friend was so confused how we knew because she had no clue till the end 😂 Ps: I actually teared up just from your reaction

I love this movie for two reasons; One: the animation is absolutely beautiful. Two: the moral of this movie is both sad and beautiful. Sad because it’s still a huge problem in the world, and beautiful because it’s trying to teach children about racism and why it’s bad. It’s amazing

Zootopia is probably one of my fave disney movies ever. I started watching your reaction videos for over a month now and I always wondered what made you different from the other ones I watched. I really like how you don’t talk too much. It’s not that I don’t like hearing you talking don’t get me wrong but I’ve watched other reactors who talk too much and sometimes pick out the most random things in the scene and talk about it or joke about it and then the context of the scene loses its value sometimes. I like how you talk briefly and talk about all your thoughts in the end because it allows you to focus on the scenes. I just like watching you react. I’ve watched most of the Disney movies you have reacted to and it’s great to reminisce the feelings I got when I first watched the movies.

I noticed there were no Primates, Reptiles, Amphibians or Birds living in Zootopia so I wonder what happened to them if they weren't welcome to live amongst the other Mammals because of their appearances or some of them weren't given a chance to fit in so they were cast out and made their own little city. I'd love for them to explore the animals they left out as I feel like they could make for a very impactful story if they did wanna go down that path imo
