@@RiptydeKC They can get this other disease though which tends to infect rodents. I can't remember if it's a virus or parasite, but we basically call it 'rodent fever'. You'll be warned to stay away from leaf piles during autumn, and be on the lookout so cats don't catch it from hunting mice etc. It can be pretty dangerous for kids at least. Though not nearly as dangerous as rabies, I'd assume it would cause the same fearless behaviour in rodents.

Had this happen at a warehouse I worked in. But it was a mole. Named him Ray after Ray Charles caise Moles are blind. He became a bit of a mascot for the warehouse. We kept him up there. Gave him food and water and a warm place to sleep. Even took a big metal planter and put dirt in it so he could Dig. Let him stay in it while the warehouse was operating and it would be loud from all the machines. He was realy cute. Especially bumping into everything and immediately hidsing at it like he was tough. Seen Ray try to get into a fight with an empty soda can once. The can won.

Fun fact: moles aren't actually blind, it's a misconception, like how bats are blind. They have pretty crappy vision and are nearsighted, but they can see and they're very good at detecting light :)

The guys up at knapheide where my husband works found a baby hummingbird and nursed him back to health and they set him free. I love the guys up there. They also found a frog in a hole and they put caution cones around it to make sure no one messed woth him. Guys are the greatest

Found a roughly baby mouse in the lobby of my small school gym. Called him Marinara cus we put him in a Mariana cup. He couldn't walk and he was precious. Gave him a nice lil bed on mh desk beside me. He passed two days later. We buried him in his bed... Now i have the bottle cap i used for yis water bowl as a memorial, it even has the word marinara on it :]

This is 100% me, i feel so much pain for animals in need that i have a hard time even going into pet stores and seeing all the animals waiting on a good home. Ive seen with my own eyes that if animals come up to a person you can bet that person is a decent person, animals have the best judge of character! My house is full of all different kinds of animals and they are a great source of joy for our home! I never understood how people can harm or torture innocent animals! Im a 6' 6" 280lb softy, 5hat has been locked up for protecting an animal, the animals human did not fair so well!! Take care of your animals because i could be watching you!! Lmfao

Have a bunch of animals ended up in bad situations? Yes they have but not willing they were just put in that position!
