If you're actually on lake Erie there is a club that meets once a month I think. In Erie Pennsylvania. I use firewood for almost everything I turn.

Do you have a line of those tea lights for inside the lantern where you don't have to buy large amounts, that also is timed for 6 hours on, 18 hours off?

Tealight is just friction fit. If hole is drilled a little too big I would just put a couple dabs of hoy melt glue on the bottom.
