I've loved this movie since I first saw it a few years back. It's probably the only movie (besides Knocked Up) about a group of people preparing for a baby to be born with rom/com type elements that I really liked. And DAMN this song here...it's truly beautiful. Not only does it reflect perfectly on Juno and Paulie's relationship, as well as the main theme of the movie, but it's truly beautiful and amazing in just how unique and pleasant it sounds. Everyone in the movie, especially Juno, are all quirky and awkward in their own ways, not all sexy and funny and energetic like most people in these types of films. It portrays common people as realistically weird, and that it's okay to be. Most importantly, it's a love song that's actually sincere feeling and realistic to a lot of people's relationships (as opposed to the awful, generic, auto-tuned 'love' songs that teeny-boppers like Bieber and 1D sing) It's just about two people who aren't very attractive or special, and are fully aware of it, but still love each other very much regardless. It's basically saying "Yeah, we're nothing special, we don't look the best, but we have each other, and that's all we need." Even the way they praise each other in the song is done in dead-pan voices, because they know they're exaggerating their beauty, but are still in love in spite of it. Now THAT'S a true love song.
@holisticpsychologybyobrien10 жыл бұрын
Jesus Christ, the criteria for which this film is your favorite, and, remarkably, another, is very complex. I may as well state that Die Hard is probably the only movie featuring both Alan Rickman _and_ Bruce Willis, with the latter wielding a sub-machine gun as he runs amok within a colossal tower, which also encompasses a frequent punctuation of action, intensity and insolent humor "that I really liked." And DAMN Bonnie Bedilia...she's truly beautiful.
@Theevil6ify10 жыл бұрын
I never said it was my favorite. I just really liked it is all. And by "complex criteria", do u mean how I described what Juno and knocked up was about (rom-coms with baby rearing elements)? ...OK? How about I just call them simply rom-coms? Is that better? Did that bother you or something? If that's not what u mean, then please explain so I understand what you're trying to say.

shame so many new comments have to make this about elliot being trans. what they do with their body isn't your business, leave the guy alone and enjoy the damn film!

My mom cried when she seen this movie as it reminded her of a friend who was relatively involved in the same situation that this movie deals with. Screw EASY A, SCREW MEAN GIRLS,SCREW ALL COMING OF AGE FILMS! JUNO TAKES THE THRONE AND RECORD WHEN IT COMES TO REALISM OF COMING OF AGE! Amazing film!

I still remember being like 15 and watching this movie on the couch with my first girlfriend. That was ten years ago. Man, time flies.
