Learning this to play at the beginning of band rehearsal when everyone else is still faffing about.

Update: played it while staring hard at drummer as he was adjusting hats for the nth time. Got stick thrown at me. Goal achieved.

Such wonderful and fascinating music choices, Adrian. Love the things that grab your ear and make you want to play, and, of course, really love it when it share it with the likes of us. You have SUCH a gift! Thank you.

This is great Adrian. Solo pieces like this are wonderful additions to any player’s toolbox. Nice thing is it’s playable on acoustic as well and no backing track needed.

Thank you so much for this video! As soon as I saw the title I knew I had to save it to focus on after the holidays and I'm glad I did. While I love playing jazz (and every other kind of music, that's why I'm here!), walking bass is something I knew about but didn't fully understand what was going on. This lesson (and the Patreon tab) are a huge step forward for me!

NICE one Adrian!! Made me spontaneously think of one of my very favorite musicians/band/group! Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks. One of my very favorite tunes, that I also worked out, is "You Gotta Believe. There's quite a bit of real solid and swinging rhythm guitar in there too. Lots of very cool moves. Thanks for a real informative and very well explained insight into this style!!!

Man, I loved Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks. Some truly fantastic music came out of them, and I think it's time for a revisit.
