🇺🇸 🇬🇧 AnyTone AT-D878UVII Plus - New firmware 3.03 - RC4 and AES encryption issue FIXED !

AnyTone DMR stations have a significant advantage over some of their Chinese competitors: They are 100% compatible with the encryption used by Motorola (Enhanced Privacy RC4/ARC4 or AES) and by members of the DMRA (DMR Association), this helps ensure the interoperability of communications even when they are encrypted.
In 2021, I discovered a weaknesses which made this encryption more vulnerable: The initialization vectors (IV/MI) used were fixed whereas they should be random... their values being known in advance, this weakened the encryption implemented...
The new firmware V3.03 fix this vulnerability, I prove it to you through this video thanks to an analysis of DMR frames using an SDR and DSD (Digital Speech Decoder) receiver.
