Does the amplifier in that radio have a fan for cooling ? and is the modulation pattern as good as the Rci 2970n2 ? I am on the fence between the two. Thanks again

No. With the right mic, yes. Out of the box, no.

Much smaller. A little long than the Cobra 29 but about the same size across. It's din sized.
