I would KILL and then REANIMATE for a dungeon-crawl expansion to this game! The style is so good. My circle of friends is just less competitive so the PVP element of Maleghast is less appealing for them.

honestly I agree with cursedsama. proably look at units for what you want to throw at them and then scale the health down or throw more chaff enemies: (low health low cost) if you want it to be a surprise set up a table that rolling dice can determine what is generated for randomness but make it hard to get the higher tier stuff.

Oof, that was a rough match-up for the Goregrinders. The warheads were essentially harmless, making killing them actually a negative due to the SOUL generated. CARCASS is absolutely brutal against isolated necromancers. If the operator can be said to specialize in anything, it's killing one unit very quickly with minimal setup.

This format is amazing to show new players on how to play the game and just how to get into it in general! and I'm not going to lie when I say I absolutely how you don't just talk MECH, you branch out and cover other under the radar "Table Top" games. Really solid video! I love videos like these that explain/show the general flow of the game, really useful for someone like who planning to play the game with my friends. I generally understand the rules but I'm still having a hard time understanding tokens, I'm just not grasping how you gain them?

It comes from traits and abilities when they state they give it, you use them automatically when the condition meets, and discard them when the condition meets.

Magnagothica: Maleghast is very much like Frostgrave, in the sense that while it's possible to keep going after your wizard bites it, you're effectively playing with one hand behind your back at that point. Keep your Necromancer alive, and you get to keep playing with the other half of your kit.

Well not exactly, the game is over except in one special scenario as soon as your necro is gone, because they are the one holding the black mass together. So going all in on necro is a very viable tactic.

I'm just noticing some Dorohedoro references in the art, and knowing abbadon, that's no coincidence. Go on and watch the first season/read the completed manga (which i still need to ) to get a better idea of the world.

In my (very) limited experience, CARCASS thralls at least were so weak the two my opponent had went down as soon as I spent any actions on them, and I was playing a fairly straight forward team. Having only thralls limits your options for battlefield control/disruption, IMHO.

Armor feels like something you always need to plan around, even using a faction with no thralls I struggled because my units with 2 damage kept missing, and everyone else only had 1 phys, cuz I didn't bring the types that could do holy. (Was a CARCASS vs Abhorrers first time match for us both)

12 Thralls is very much a meme build, 12 SCUMS build however, takes an extra step of being way more annoying than normal because if you don't have magic damage, you are gonna be extremely annoyed with all the scums having PHY armor.

@@11dragonkid11nice! I see where I misread the description for thralls I thought it meant there was no cap for thralls in general. Currently I'm playing with the heretic rules and see what fun combinations can be had between houses

Honestly this game was over at the start. The Goregrinders Thralls are stomped by Enforcers. Game would have ended even sooner with Double Tap Soul Ability to kill the Warlord after Blood Rage Triggered. Probably stop blind picks, at least let people know what faction the enemy is playing before they pick their units. This Goregrinder army would have decimated a Deadsouls one for example, no armor there. But he needed Painwheels here desperately.

It wasn't a blind pick. We got together beforehand, knowing which house each would be playing, and presented our lists at the start of setup.
