This game is awesome against a friend, but they really need to work on the CPU AI. Especially the created players. If you can't program players to Serve & volley on first serve or hit certain types of shots more than others then you're basically playing the same player every match except his ratings maybe higher or lower. But the CPU strategy stays the same. There is zero excuse for this to be that way in AO2.

Start a singles/doubles match, when the side selection comes up, press triangle/y on the second controller to assign it. Player 2 will then be able to select side and you can both proceed from there to player selection 👍

If you want to play the best tennis game don't waste your time. You can still play Top Spin 4 online on ps3 and xbox 360 in 2020! Player Match, the online exhibition mode still works!

Well.. I have to say ... I am Top Spin fan, i played yesterday this game for the first ever and i have to say it is really great ! You have time to think in wich direction you send the ball, i mean exactly on what point and it is very enjoyable.. The ball physics are amazing, just play on high close camera to see better ... On 4K it looks really good,... Even if it's not perfect, i think AO2 is the best tennis game today

As you play, you choose what you want. Everyone starts as single, but you can do doubles only if you want

how many levels does it go to in career mode for this year's game? Because the first game went to level 50 and that was a little disappointing; I'd Love to the get the chance to fully max out my attributes this year.

Overall, it's very similar - AO Tennis was regularly improved and most comparisons are looking at the two games in their launch state. AO2 compared to AO in it's final patched state isn't a big jump - maybe it will be once AO2 gets patched a load more.... Ultimately, it comes down to whether you want to play career mode because that's where 99% of the improvements are and career mode is really good now. If you aren't interesting in career mode - probably not worth the upgrade.

You can't use right stick to play different shots. For serving, it only allows flat serve. For shots, the game decides what shot type it is.

The biggest and most fundamental gripe with the original was the piss poor playability of the game....since you didn't even mention whether that has been improved in this video its a thumbs down from me I'm afraid.
