I absolutely hate how the buttons are so small, and how hard it is to see what they do without pointing a flashlight directly on them. One of the most inconvenient designs I've dealt with. I would've liked wide rubber buttons so you can feel them more easily, in the shape of the control, such as arrow pointing right and left rather than having to guess and hope you hit the right one. Thanks for the instructions, I turned overdrive mode on, turned off the face HDR, and I noticed an immediate improvement in framerate generally. The mouse almost feels weird to use because it's so much smoother than I was used to.

...i need help. I just got a new monitor, playing around with its new settings, I switched it to D-sub. Assuming it would change back to HDMI, I didn't see any harm in this. It has power, it works, but now I cant pull up the menu to switch it back to HDMI. It boots says d-sub no signal detected, and falls back asleep.

If you’re on ps5 and want to go on 120 fps just go to settings disable hdr then go to game mode and enable it and use whichever you want I recommend game 1 so you can adjust the color filters.

Maybe it's a different model? They don't all have that. Furthermore those settings are just funky-looking presets, as explored in the video. You're not missing much by not using them (or if they weren't included in your monitor).

Hello, i don't understand something, can you help please. I have the exact same monitor, but me instead of "Adaptative - Sync" I have only "G-sync" , and i have a AMD graphic card (xt 6650), when it's activated , the AMD software detect it compatible and i can enable Radeon freesync. But i experienced stuttering in game sometimes and i'm worried about that, do you find this normal that my monitor only give me "G'sync" option ? and not adaptative sync ?

AOC calls it 'G-SYNC' in some revisions of the monitor, but it always controls Adaptive-Sync. FreeSync works all the same. You can get stuttering for various reasons that VRR doesn't help with, so it's likely still working as it should.

VRR on the monitor is provided via Adaptive-Sync, which the PS5 doesn't support. The PS5 only supports HDMI 2.1 VRR, which this monitor (and all or nearly all FHD monitors on the market) lacks.

Hi sir, i'm a tech noob so sorry for the dump question. I mostly do digital art and sometime play fps. I am wondering between this model and the Lg 24gn65r (and the Gigabite g24f too). These has quite good color spec despite being a gaming monitor (and mainly bcause it's cheap) but i has some skeptical after seeing some review. Can i color calibrate this model and tweak the option to get the good image output at the lower brightness? Because i know it is very bright and i usualy work at night or i should look for the another two option? Thank you sir.

The AOC would be my choice, provided you can calibrate the monitor with your own calibration device. If not you can try the ICC profile provided in our review, but that isn't ideal as individual units vary. If you aren't able to calibrate the monitor the LG should in theory be a better option since it's natively close to sRGB, whereas the AOC and Gigabyte are wide gamut options (without being truly wide gamut). It is still dim enough for most people to use in the evening in dimmer lighting, but everyone has a different sensitivity to light. You can further reduce the brightness 'digitally', but that comes at the expense of contrast as it doesn't adjust the backlight - so isn't ideal.

The 'Overdrive' control is the relevant setting of the monitor, it helps to have a high frame rate as well. There is no sharpness control.

Per the review 165Hz is for DP only. So unless your laptop has DP, you're restricted to 144Hz max. It's only a slight difference anyway and you'd need to run >144fps to take advantage anyway, so it's not something to worry about.

You might be looking at the panel border which is part of the 'dual-stage' design that's described in the review (and you can see in the review when the monitor is on). That's part of the panel surrounding the image and you can't remove that. It isn't part of the active area of the monitor that displays the image.

Hi , PC monitors I wanted to ask there are three power mode’s one shows white meaning ‘on’ then orange ‘low power mode’ then holding the power button down shows no colour does this mean its completely off? Or do I have to unplug for completely off?

If you press the power button it is technically in standby. Monitors will draw a little power so they can prepare to come back on when you press the power button. So if you want it to draw no power at all you'd need to turn it off at the mains or unplug. It draws
