The first time I heard this in the game, entering the valley surrounded by towering mountains, I couldn't move. I just gazed across the landscape, listened, and knew I had started a journey I'd never forget. Probably the most magical experience I've ever had in over 20 years of gaming. All because of how the song connects to the experience in the most perfect way. That one moment is the foundation of why I keep going back to Hyboria. It doesn't matter about the low population, the adventure is all my own.

Man this game had so much potential. Played it to the endgame 2008 and 10 years later played though the story again. Such a great OST!

that's it I'm downloading this game again. played it when it first came out and was pay2play was in high school at the time. couldn't afford to play further was sad. downloaded the game again when it went free to play. didn't have money then either, couldnt buy the expansions and felt limited but, by crom, I have my own income now. hearing this melody again reignited the passion I had about the game all those years ago cimmeria calls. it is time. heads will roll

I think people expect too much when it comes to games. They have no idea for the most part where they came from, or how they evolved. That we have moved beyond synth, MIDI and digitized 8-bit effects is a thing in itself, but for artists to contribute music such as this to a video game is utterly magical. Final point : Back in the bad old days of home computing, the game was simple and you knew exactly what you had to do, get to the top and save the princess. There was only one screen. Only one bad guy. Only 3 controls. These days we have masterpieces like age of conan. It doesn't make it easy, and there are many choices to be made - some will be good, some will be bad. You have to explore. And that's where the magic is. With games like these, you get out what you put in. If you're not looking for that, then go play Donkey Kong again, the 2014 version. There are many.

Best freaking soundtracks ever and I normally don’t care for soundtracks. Like everyone loves ffxiv and I hate it!!! This game was the best soundtrack ever and this particular video gives me chills around 1:22!!!!!! I remember back in the day on launch I used to sit afk in this area while I was reading stuff about quest or dungeons just so I could here the music over and over. Then it would pause for a few minutes and then re-loop back. I wish this game was the WoW killer it was supposed to be. Remember back in the day when you just ran out of quest??? Poor funcom!!!

People need to stop talking about that Breivik guy. This is music for the video-game Age of Conan, produced solely for that reason. The guy is clearly messed up in the head, and the creators of this music, including the singer, are disgusted by the fact he took inspiration from it in his actions. So... either discuss the game, or the music. But not this guy. Goddamn, it's like all those The Arrivals fans ruining Clint Mansell's The Fountain soundtrack videos. Enough idiocy, enjoy some art.
